In the heart of a vibrant paradise, where the earth dances under the caress of leaves and the air is filled with the song of ancient spirits, a work has been born that whispers the voice of Pachamama ! Inspired by her journey to Costa Rica, Ismētra invites us on a sonic exploration imbued with the mysteries of the jungle and the spirituality of ancestral rituals.
Through the composition “Curanderos (Pachamama Tribute),” the artist captures the essence of a unique experience: the eponymous ceremony, where body and soul awaken to the pure vibrations of nature and the deep pulse of life.

The rhythms throb like the breath of the forest, and the melodies entwine with the shadows and light filtered through the canopy, creating a sanctuary where each note is an offering.
This track is an ode to Mother Earth, an invitation to reconnect with the magic that pulses beneath our feet and around us. Listen to it as a whisper of the wind, as the heartbeat of those seeking communion with the source !

Where has 2020 gone? 

We are almost out the other side of this insane year, and we at GGHQ hope that you are all safe and sound. The music never stops, and we hope that our friends have all found some solace and enjoyment through the simple acts of listening, discovering & sharing. 

We're super happy to see out 2020 with this, our last mix of the year. We couldn't be in better hands to be honest. Øyvind is a top selector, producer, remixer and he is one of those DJ's who is beyond versatile. He just knows music inside and out and is a formidable talent in the booth... genre and sounds are no barriers to him and his own style is unmatched. A longtime former resident at Oslo's clubbing institution JAEGER, Øyvind held down Wednesday nights there for a decade plus welcoming a host of global DJ luminaries and tastemakers into his zone. 

Here we find Øyvind in a relaxed mood, combing his impressive collection for more spaced out and downtempo grooves, offering a deep selection to soothe and get lost in. We're really pleased to present this lovely mix to you from our friend and someone who we feel is a true talent out there in the vast world of music we all inhabit. Last august Yu Su was temporarily residing in LA for a short time whilst on a sort of extended tour/sorting out visa combo adventure. Whilst in town we managed to write a bunch of music together (keep your eyes peeled for SCR015) and even stop by the Dublab studios for a little B2B. Well, almost a year and a half later… those tracks are about to finally see the day of light. So to truly execute this charming tableau, we got together again (virtually this time) on the same radio station for another 2 hours of fun.

For more than three decades, native Londoner and true DJ's DJ, Jaye Ward, has been one of the key figures in the capital’s underground electronic music scene. During the ‘90s Jaye was often found behind the decks at Fabric’s legendary WANG parties, Golden in Stoke on Trent, and she held a residency at London’s sadly defunct END. Still going strong to this day (when there are no global pandemics getting in the way) Jaye is often called upon by many of London and Europe’s hottest clubbing destinations and festivals, including KALA, Love International, and Field Maneuvers.

Dancefloors aside, Jaye is also the host of the excellent ‘Magical Real’ show on Netil Radio, from which she broadcasts a monthly dose of all things dub, disco, psychedelic, Balearic, and more.

As a longtime friend of the shop, we reached out to Jaye to see if she would be interested in putting together a mix for us. The result is a walloping two-hour recording, packed with an eclectic collection of gems and rarities from the likes of This Mortal Coil, Sterac, Donato Dozzy, Chris Carter, Niagara, Shackleton, and more.
