Italian musician Attilio Novellino released his first album in 2009. Since then he has been focused on the use of sound as a psycho-acoustic tool throughout his solo albums and collaborative projects. June 2020 sees Attilio’s first release on Forwind.

Recorded in Stockholm at EMS Elektronmusikstudion, and in Catanzaro, Italy, Attilio used a wide range of sound sources including; piano soundboard with strings, grand piano, prepared piano, Buchla 200 modular synthesizer, Serge modular, Prophet 5, harmonium, organ, percussions and electronics. There are varied approaches and results across the four pieces as it moves from some beautifully recorded grand piano sections via ambience and carefully crafted abrasiveness.

Strängar will be available as a limited edition Digipak and digital release.

Splinters as a composition has a dream like quality, dark and enigmatic. Electronic noise colours the drone and bubbling soundscapes of a somewhere. Repeating musical phrases mix with recognisable sounds from life - a spoken utterance, a rumbling train. As a listener you drift with the current through misty scenes, on a journey down a river towards some marshland on the edge of an urban sprawl.

Made in response to an invitation from TACO! - an artist space in Thamesmead in South East London - Splinters documents Kate Carr’s relationship with that space, and the area of London it is located in. Over an 18 month period Kate kept a growing sonic diary of her journeys to the space from her home, her construction of work in the gallery, her wanderings around the green spaces and urban architecture, the coming and goings of visitors and the artistic material from other artists and musicians working at the space. This work is a sonic portrait of a time and a place, and the actions and events within it.


Splinters includes audio samples from concerts and exhibitions held at TACO! Featuring material from live sets by Liz Helman, Tom White, Rebecca Lennon, Pouya Ehsaei, Jonathan Higgins and Hannah Dargavel-Leafe, and audio material from the exhibitions Scratch! by George Barber, and Heavy View by Laura Yuile.

The third episode is a journey into Alberto di Lenardo Works: “An Attic Full of Trains” by Carlotta di Lenardo, published by Mack Books (2020). “One day during a family lunch he revealed to Carlotta di Lenardo, another of his not very secret passions – his enduring love for photography – and shared with her his archive of more than 8,000 photographs: a body of vernacular work capturing over half a century of life in vivid colour. ”Alberto’s work reminds us of the typical scenarios of Italian films: nuance, shades and sounds alternate between the most important soundtracks of our bel paese.

Publishing Station is a fluctuating project that aims to intertwined music and text, soundscapes and editorials in order to create new experiences. A curatorial platform where creatives, record labels, and publishing houses connect and share their urgencies. 
From podcast making to live performances, its wish is to deliver to the listeners intimate and sometimes non-linear thoughts through episodes and happenings.

Sensual Pills: a series of mixtapes around the topic of sensuality. 
How do we approach sensuality now during this weird time of no-contact and distance regulations? How can we talk about it without experiencing its physicality? Did your idea of erotism change? What is sexy for you? And most important: Can you translate it to music?
We want to feel sensuality, we want to share our thoughts out loud, dance in the name of it till we are damn sweating, and so on and so forth.
