Riddim Commission’s “More Fire” featuring $tush was first premiered by Annie Mac back in August and smashed up Notting Hill Carnival in London. We included the badman tune on This is Night Bass Volume 2 while we were waiting on remixes from a few of our favorite producers. Sinden comes through with a squelchy bass banger, Jay Robinson goes full throttle with the grimy bass sounds and Lo’99 rounds it out with a bubbly late night groover.

Sinden is an originator. He is one of the foundations of where Night Bass comes from and I couldn’t be happier to have him as a friend and as an artist on the label. The latter half of the '00s were a great time if you were a fan of electro, house music or any of the many iterations. It was around the time that Diplo was producing for M.I.A, Justice and Simian Mobile Disco reigned supreme, and Sinden was working with a North London producer called Joshua "Hervé​" Harvey as The Count & Sinden. Yes, dubstep's popularity was increasing exponentially, but we're talking about house music and it was still a pretty good time to rave if you weren't a fan of big, noisy bass music. To remind us just how fun house music (or fidget or electro house or whatever you want to call it) was back then, Hervé​'s put together this neat little retrospective. Just looking at the mix that Hervé put together for us and you'll see how many big tunes there were, and how many of them featured Hervé​ in some way. Even the remixes, which feature prominently were often the versions that took off, eclipsing the originals with Hervé​'s instinct for the dancefloor.
