Being part of his commemorative compilation (Healing Waves) is nothing but a privilege. I am really lost for words, since Yuri's passing feels too close to home for me; having lost my lovely Verena to cancer. 

First time I met Yuri was back in early 2020. He sent me a message on Instagram, asking if he could send some music for release. He was already in my radar being very exceptional, so it really blew my mind that he contacted me first. A few months and a bunch of messages later, we collaborated for the first (and last) time. 

Yuri was an wonderful human, kind, open minded, humble, polite and considerate. He was also a very talented artist who preferred simplicity and straightforwardness. His music was a blessing and he inspired many of us to make more music. Pretty high standard (for me personally to reach) but still 😅

Last but not least, all proceedings from this compilation will be given to cancer research and prevention institutions in Brazil. This musical gem is here to spread love for Yuri and awareness for cancer.
