The following series was founded to acknowledge producers for their influence on shaping the sound in the electronic music genre while simultaneously showcasing the distinctive musical style of each artist, featuring both released and unreleased music in an all-original podcast format.

K92 aims to reintroduce a sense of mystery surrounding artists by bringing back the focus on the music itself and creating a blank slate for listeners to develop their own interpretations. As a result, the sets on this platform do not include any press photographs or biographies. Instead, each set has been personally signed by the artist to complete their signature sound.

Argentinian artist West Code is a well known figure in the South American mental techno groove scene. By producing some real mental gems, this young DJ is taking the scene by storm. By blending mental, old school techno and hardgroove, he strives to always surprise yet create a coherent and dynamic atmosphere. This producer is over productive so you better keep an eye on him to be in touch with some of best sounds out here. He also recently converted himself into a label head by creating his very own imprint aka @wangan_club .

PREMIERE: Radical Softness & RUIZ OSC1 - Heartcore Looper [SFTRZ01]

DISGUISED is a Techno DJ Duo founded by Alvaro & Domenik back in 2015. Both raised up in the beautiful landscape of South Germany and met for the first time in 2014 during a techno party. Quickly they became close friends and discovered their common passion for powerful techno beats and started to produce their very own releases. They are heavily inspired by the sound of the early 2000s. It was quite important not to limit themselves to a specific genre and this led to their sound of a speedy and melodic mix of early 2000s Techno beats with some traces of Breakbeat and House music.

In 2020 DISGUISED founded with Daniel Heinrich the independent techno record label INHERIT and with their previous releases, a place in the Beatport Top 10 was always assured. At the beginning of 2021 Domenik and Alvaro started with their label partner Daniel Heinrich the event series "INHERIT presents" and thus organize parties in the hottest clubs in Berlin. Here they book their favorite DJ's in clubs like the Anomalie, Fies & Zornig and from 2022 in some more.

Wiener Gerüstbau INVITES 026: Disguised

Specific Objects is a Berlin-based techno DJ, producer and owner of Twice Infinity Records. Before moving to the world’s techno capital, he earned his stripes in his hometown of Vienna as a resident DJ of the infamous Meat Market event series and crew member of Wiener Gerüstbau. 

The photographer-turned-musician is a man on a mission: pursuing his goal of bringing back the groove into hard and fast techno has led to several releases on labels like Akronym, Mitsubasa, Introspective or DREPT. When on stage, he effortlessly combines contemporary funky cuts with his favorite tunes from the early 2000s in a blend that‘s both modern and old school, always keeping drive and energy on the floor without residing to cheap tricks.

This week's podcast is provided by Alec Dienaar, a fresh name in the techno scene. Alec is a young producer and DJ based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He has his own unique style, which can be described as groovy & funky with an old school touch. His inspiration comes a lot from the late 90s and early 2000s, which you can hear throughout his sound, as he likes to sample old tracks turning it into a new one. With his groovy percussions, dirty basslines and unique chords, you will definitely remember his name.

Alarico returns to Mutual Rytm with his ‘Drops Of You’ EP, packed with his mind-bending signature rhythms while focussing on a more minimal and atemporal approach than before.

Milan-based artist Alarico has firmly arrived on the world stage in recent years. Taking cues from the harder realms of techno of the 90s, he adds his own quirky rhythms and quickened sense of groove to showcase his modern take on the genre. Building on material dropping via his own Katana Records, with high-profile support from big- name DJs across the scene, he breaks new ground again here on this compelling new EP as he returns to SHDW’s label Mutual Rytm with ‘Drops Of You’.

Excellent opener ‘0 Kelvin’ races out of the blocks with wiry synths and percussion that sounds like knives being sharpened, all over tight, punchy techno drums. ‘One More’ then gets more twisted with freaky synth lines scurrying about the mix while hammering hits and bouncy drum programming races onwards into an unknown future.

‘Asma’ slips into a deeper but no less impactful groove - the tightly coiled drum funk is overlaid with soulful vocal whispers and militant snares that cannot fail to sweep dancers away. Next, the slick ‘Sunburn’ keeps the pace high and is another warp-speed techno excursion with bold drum patterns and dry hi-hats cutting up the beats. It’s a fulsome sound fleshed out with great synth detail and euphoric vocal cries, before closer ‘Drops Of You’ layers broken beats, vocal snippets and psychedelic synth colours into an intense and emotional workout.

Alongside the vinyl cuts, three digital-only offerings are also loaded into this one as a trio of treats in the form of ‘Sino’, ‘What For’ and ‘Erased’, with each track harnessing pacy, energetic rhythms, a mix of bright and murky sonics, and tunnelling grooves crafted for maximum impact.
