This track was originally recorded to be on Pullman Standards first Album "Midnight Matinee" after much deliberating the band decided to release only five songs instead of ten and make Midnight Matinee and E.P. a year later they released the rest of the songs on the Dance Fashion Love E.P.

I have a passion for the finer things that sweeten this world, but it’s the sweetest sin that fools us all like diamonds and pearls.  Do they distract you, or attract you soly made to hypnotize and take what you own… but what do you own?  They wear the clothing of a superficial standard of love, caressing all the eyes fixated on the price of their drugs and they inject you to infect you keep you coming back for more im dying to know.

Are we the product of an artificial labor of lust, embedded into a foundation that’s beginning to rust will they protect you or reject you praising all who walked the line and cheated the odds.  Is there a pattern to the riddle worth finding? Us lemmings are so blind, but we’ll never know.

Steam Powered Hearts is a concept album that has underlying Steam Punk themes and its own novel written to support the idea of the Album.  The Novel is yet to be Published and released But a feature film is already fully written and in talks to produce.

One of the interlude tracks on the Album Steam Powered Hearts that has interwoven themes from the automaton narration voice.  This track features the very talented Natalie Major dueting with Timmy D lamenting about the shortcomings of a superficial love

Fun PS Fact:  The Song was first Demoed with singer Rachel Copeland who was vacationing with VMP photography's own Greg Hernandez and Maria Bear in 2011 after meeting Timmy D. on the set of the movie "Jack and Jill" . if you go see Pullman Standard live you can still hear Copelands voice being used in the bands stage intro to the song "5th and Broadway" as well as the live interlude track between the bands song "Alley Cat" and "If and When"

Fun PS Fact : Professor Fate is the name of the antagonist character in the 1965 movie "The Great Race" starring Tony Curtis , Jack Lemon, Peter Falk, and Natalie Wood.  The movie is based at the turn of the 20th century and has a lot of Steam Punk themes and was a big inspiration for Timmy D. during the writing of the Steam Powered Hearts album and novel.

Tonight Tonight (Smashing Pumpkins cover)

Formed by Timmy D  in the spring of 2008 PULLMAN STANDARD has matured into the fully realized sound and powerful live show that fans across the U.S. have come to enjoy. With over 1,500 shows logged across 31 U.S. states since their first independently booked tour in 2011, the band has earned their "road warrior stripes". Pullman Standard was recognized for their songwriting skills in 2009, winning the "Your song for San Diego" contest sponsored by San Diego's 91X alt radio, with the SoCal flavored song "Our Town".  Then again, in 2011 they won first place in the Intel Computers Pop category and in 2013 the Rock category song writing competition on OurStage.com. 
 
In 2012 they released their first full length album titled "Steam Powered Hearts". Pullman Standard was selected out of thousands of entrants as finalists in the FORD Motors “Gimme the Gig” competition. With their song "Crazy Love" being acclaimed as "A HIT record" by famed producer Don Was on the television premier of the show.
 
The band continued touring through 2014 releasing the singles "Crazy Love" & "Till Sunrise". Timmy is also heavily involved with philanthropic work donating their time as well as half of Pullman Standard sales for the songs "Change is What We Are" and "Fifth and Broadway" to cancer research foundation "Love, Hope, Strength". They have also performed at multiple Rock 'n Roll marathon fundraisers across the country.
 
With more touring scheduled in support of their 2017 L.P. release "Diamond Hearts", Pullman Standard continues to receive a lot of attention with their single "N.E.O.N." being featured on touch tunes jukeboxes worldwide.  Their heart felt love ballad “Up n Up” was picked up in May 2018 and is featured on the Starbucks in store playlist around the world. Their rock pop hits "Starting Static" and  “Falling” are featured at fairs and festivals all across the U.S.
