iger Stripes returns to Drumcode with 'Nocturnes' for his annual EP outing, crafting a pair of blue-ribbon dance oor weapons inspired by the night.
The Swedish artist is a cherished act on the label, his involvement with DC going back to 2009. One of the most creative in his  eld, he typically mines in uence from across the musical spectrum. Indeed, a Tiger
Stripes track could employ subtle nods to everything from rock and pop, to reggae and hip hop, all seamlessly integrated into a dynamic techno palette.

BOSS AXIS drops the next bomb on WONNEmusik called MEANT TO BE. This brand new WONNEmusik single features italian singer LABEL MOU with an emotional vocal. With this track BOSS AXIS & LABEL MOU capture the last summer vibes. Upcoming producer Ben Ashton from Switzerland comes up with the first remix and a massive club sound with an outstanding bassline. As always Moe Ferris defies conventions and pimps the vocals with his typical morphoder-sounds and sends this track to space with his Juno- and Jupiter-pads. This time he is definitely not the man under the hood but the man in the moon. Finally Nicolas Hannig contributes a very stable and melodic remix with a beautiful lead synth and epic strings that raise hope for the next summer.

Slovenian producer UMEK returns to Tronic with his new, killer 2 track EP, Certain Trace. Straight out the gate, some serious no-nonsense techno comes in the form of Deja Vu. It has a thundering kick, haunting synth stabs and a piercing percussive fusion. It has a warped synthetic stab which punches throughout the track and gives some serious authority.

The title track Certain Trace has a mind-melting hook combination, driving listeners into the depths of the mix. It grows in complexity as the track progresses with a catchy elevating style rhythm.

Two crackers right here. We love them both!

A testament to the growth of Adam Beyer’s scene-leading label, Drumcode annual A-Sides Vol.8 is the brand’s biggest yet.

The 25-track strong compilation features standout cuts Beyer has received over the last 12 months, but been unable to find room for in Drumcode’s regular release schedule, such is the volume and high standard of music that’s submitted.

The highlight-rich compilation includes Jamie Jones & Darius Syrossian’s buzzy Drumcode debut ‘Eyes of the Night’, Nicole Moudaber’s first DC release in 5 years with the mesmerizing ‘This Is Us’, Will Clarke’s bass-drenched re-work of Adam Beyer & Bart Skils ‘Your Mind’ and Joey Beltram’s first Drumcode release in 11 years with the retro-tinged ‘Can You Feel It’. 

The beloved Alan Fitzpatrick returns to the fold with the searing ‘Heiße Rakete’, alongside label mainstays Layton Giordani, who drops the stirring chord-driven ‘Chrome’ and Wehbba with ‘Mantra’, combining techno classicism with future-focused groove.

There’s a troupe of debutants donning the Drumcode jersey for the first time, including BEC, Shelley Johannson, Anthony Castaldo, Avision, Zimmz, Woo York, SAMA (in a terrific collaboration with Secret Cinema) and Ilija Djokovic, who delivers a shimmering highlight with ‘Aura’, a particular favourite of Beyer’s over the last year. Raxon also debuts on the label after a couple of quality additions to the Truesoul back catalogue.

Exciting young guns Weska and Juliet Fox bring heat to the compilation, while Veerus and Timmo follow up strong DC releases with a repeat dose. Elsewhere faithful contributors Ramon Tapia, Jay Lumen, Luca Agnelli, Marco Bailey and Mark Reeve craft powerful dancefloor weapons.
