Falco Benz - Clap Machines (Kalima Remix)

Hi guys!

The idea was to create a juke-track but in that I miserably failed. 
I tried a new approach in the arrangement proces,  recommended by @julien-mier at the nieuwe electronische waar (NEW 3.0) conference :

"Work with rendered wav's rather than midi. 
It gives a clear view on your arrangement and is way less processor intensive."

I'm always struggling with the performance of my duo-core laptop so this sounded like something I should try. 
In order to try this approach I ended up creating two ableton-files, one with the midi stuff and vst's and such, like a sketch-pad.
And another file with the rendered wav's from the "sketch pad" to play with and create the final composition. 

I found working like this feels a bit like remixing your own track. And I agree with Julien: having just raw rendered samples gives a good overview and therefore great sense of control. Now I can keep my mind focussed when creating and tweaking details instead of worrying about running out of processing power all the time.

This track is intended for a song I'm working on but I was psyched about the whole process so I thought it'd be nice to share it with you.
