At 20 years old, Framboisier is what we can commonly call a diamond in the rough. Discovered by Pulse Msc on the FB group "Chineurs de House" when he was 16, this young man from Le Mans impresses with his calibrated productions that already show a great maturity. Fan of Deep House with big kicks, his tracks are an ode to the groove, influenced by the 90's electronic scene and labels like Rutilance, House Puff, Shall Not Fade or Gestalt. As a former winner of Chineurs de House's "Producer Day", Framboisier is already making a name for himself and will undoubtedly be one of those to be reckoned with in the following years.

DJ Psychiatre - Our Love Is Real

Influenced by early 90s hip-hop’s use of samples, and his own experiences as an MC, DJ, sound designer and audio engineer, Bru’s sample-heavy music production mixes diverse sounds pulled from found internet videos into deep, mid-tempo house tracks.

His sounds reference and pay homage to older traditions in music but come skillfully into their own as soulful tracks. He released his debut album, MidCity (Audio Parallax), in 2012, and has followed up since with a slew of 12”s over the the last few years including 2 releases in 2016 (Roach fingers EP on Ego planet and Science Is Science on local Vancouver imprint MSLX) Bru has been a fixture in Vancouver’s party seen for the last 7 years opening up for acts like move d, Akufen, Eddie c, Prosumer, Cut Head, Jacob Korn,and Nathan Johnson.

Holding down a residency at the summer special series since its inception and throwing shows with sister and local staple Myte and long time music maker Secret Lover. His dj sets gravitate towards the Detroit/Chicago House/Techno side, always with room for disco and soul.

A native of southern France, Valentin Orrit, aka Chevals, developed a genuine passion for electronic music at the age of 15, and started to produce music using Ableton. 7 years after beginning his musical journey, and after having been introduced to techno music during his time in Berlin, he decided to create the ‘Chevals’ (i.e. a deliberately misspelled word that means ‘Horses’) moniker as a platform to release his own original productions, remixes, and edits. His influences range from house music to soul and disco, as well as to world music.

His first EP ‘Deep sounds from the Stable’ was released by Technodrone Records and featured two tracks that accurately reflect his musical universe: ‘Don’t mess with Bill’ and ‘Lose Yourself’.

If you have been following the lo-fi movement in the underground house scene for a minute, Jesse Bru is certainly a name that will be top of mind. Being one of the integral producers ushering in the new era, Jesse first caught our ear with tunes like his infectious and evocative Tonight that came out almost two years ago. After taking one listen to his work, one can tell that Mr. Bru has a knack for being able to select samples that perfectly go along with his own interpretation of hard-hitting, jazz-laden house melodies.

In his latest effort, the man from Vancouver has decided to pair up with the likes of French imprint Pulse Msc, who have been doing their part in cultivating the scene with prominent releases from Harrison BDP, Matthieu Faubourg, and Vitess. Titled That Feeling, this EP features 4 superb deep house tracks that the label says, “is an invitation in a journey which gathers many influences by its variety of samples used.”

We are fortunate enough to get our hands on the title track and share it with you today. After taking a listen, we wholeheartedly cosign with Pulse Msc’s summation of the tune. Throughout its entirety, Jesse manages to blend a unique mixture of hip-hop, jazz, and African vocals to create a vibe that’s original as it is eclectic – which is hard to pull off just given how saturated the market is with producers drawing upon African influences these days. SB PREMIERE : Jesse Bru - This Time I Am [Pulse Msc]

'Understanding' is the B1 of Jesse Bru's latest offering entitled 'That Feeling', and serves as a perfect reminder of the class with which the West Coast producer is able to masterfully curate collections of moody yet soulful samples to create a vibe fit for any occasion.

Prior to writing this up, we listened to this track 10, maybe 15 times, trying to put our finger on what it is about this one that resonates with us so much. Is it the dark, jazzy Rhodes riffs? Is it the driving, Laurence Guy-esque low end? Or is it the stuttering percussion which pieces it all together? Actually, I think it's the vocals - repetitive but never getting old, the vocals breathe a whole new life into the track, bringing a raw, emotive feeling to the table. Really nice stuff - the kind of track that works just as well in your living room on a Sunday as it does on a dark, intimate dance-floor at 3am.

French imprint Pulse Msc is a pretty perfect home for this new EP, which is due to be released at the end of October.

Joe Lewandowski - Get Back U Want (Free DL)

Great electronic music activist, Marc Satseg is a producer of house music. He began in the music world by becoming artistic director of clubs like Colisée (Nantes/France) and at O’Jacaré (Angers/France).
Furthermore, he worked for the Dragsonor Label based in Ibiza and Paris. In the same way, he created the Artik label. He was the president and organized many events in Nantes and Angers with guests such as Salut C’est Cool.

Afterwards, he worked for the Festival Les Nuits Electriques with artists such as Traumer, Apollonia, Dixon, Charlotte De Witte, Amélie Lens, Un*Deux, Max Cooper and many others. Sensitive to music since childhood. Marc Satseg discovered this universe by the piano. Afterwards, he specialized with drums. The classical side of these instruments no longer satisfied him and he embarked on the mix and the musical production. Inspired by artists such as Francesco Del Garda, Traumer, Max Vaahs, Sonja Moonear… He exerts his talents as a producer to create 90’s house sounds.
