The first release of the End Result Productions Summer Campaign 2016 is a C33 cassette tape titled Entelechy by artist PulseWidthMod, the solo project of Baltimore-based Maeghan Donovan.

From the artist:
“I choose the album title Entelechy because I feel humanity is at a serious crossroads right now. We can choose to transform into our full potential and overcome the nonsense; or we can devolve and possibly become victims to some sort of ELE.”

Made available 01 July 2016, End Result Productions is teaming up the following night with the Extra Dark promotion crew to present a PulseWidthMod live set in the fourth installation of their Difference Engine party.

PULSEWIDTHMOD’s menacing mechanized drum beats, coupled with pleasingly disorienting melodies, leaves the listener with a sense of urgency. She is known in her hometown of Baltimore for
being vocal against the abuse of power which gives her sound a sense of tension that’s energizing in nature. Her live performances offer an energetic listen for those seeking a visceral dance experience.

In 2005 she started on her musical journey by moving to Philadelphia to build a studio of her own and hone in her craft; it wasn’t until she moved back to her hometown of Baltimore that she was
invited to play a show in 2014. Ever since then, she’s been exploring making improvisational dance music. In 2015 she was given an award by the Baltimore City Paper for her album #fearwillkeepthelocalsystemsinline as “Soundtrack to the Revolution”. It was her response to the police brutality that was present before and especially during the Baltimore Uprising.

Casey Grabowski is a Philadelphia musician responsible for the projects Nearest, Obligate Surrogate, and Secret Societies, as well as other collaborations. In early 2017, at only 40, he was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer. Since then he has fought to stay alive through hardships most of us can barely conceive of. Although his partner Michelle has waged a formidable battle and run a successful gofundme campaign, the bills continue to come. Both those close to him and strangers alike have been helping as much as possible. In a sense, this compilation is meant to give something back, both to Casey and to those who have helped and continue to help. 

Just as Casey’s own music spans synthwave, techno, experimental, and industrial noise, so does that of the friends he has made. This collection is all exclusive tracks, most of them made specifically for this incredible person, whose situation any of us could well find ourselves in. All money from sales of this will be donated to Casey daily, so please feel free to pay more than the minimum.
