Here's another one of my own productions that I created at SAE during the Diploma In Music Production. Feeling very stoked with how this one turned out! 

This was a "remix" project where we were given access to the stems from everyone's final productions from the previous Trimester, then we could use whatever parts we wanted to make a remix or totally different track.

My plan was to write a Truncate style jacking techno track with vocals and some nice acid vibes.

The amazing vocals are from Juman's stems. @juman_music

There are some atmospheric sounds from Renee's stems. @renereborns

I also used a kick and clap sound from Josh Richard's stems.

The ACID line is from my Behringer TD-3.

Shine, Featuring JUMAN

I closed this set out with one my favourite songs at the moment - Marea by The Blessed Madonna & Fred again. I think it just captures the current feels. The hook oozes euphoria. This whole set goes deep and groovy, I had a lot of dazed moments getting lost in the rhythm throughout this, i had to keep reminding myself to mix in the next tune. When im really vibing i get real heavy handed on the filters and try play them as a instrument, I did that alot in this haha... Deal with it. 

Gladys can stop the raves but you cant stop me from dancing in my fucking underwear! I hope this brings you some much needed dance therapy as it did for me.

With his latest EP STARGAZE about to drop towards the end of the month BÄTO delivers a carefully curated selection of heaters that accompany a plethora of his own original tracks to tease the upcoming release. This is the only place you can nab a sneak peak of the tracks that feature on STARGAZE as well as unreleased projects the talented producer has whipped up. BÄTO Mix ~ PAF Collections ~ 003

‘For home use only’ is an anti-club social, a chance to get to know someone/something. A series of transmissions purely dedicated to exploring the other side.

As summer finally rears its beautiful face, without the shroud of covid to mask its beauty, our limbs start to thaw out and our minds can finally start to unwind. My god, it has been a year; full of ups and downs and smiles and frowns. It’s safe to presume that we all can’t wait to see the other side of it. In this weird musical bubble, however, lockdowns have been fruitful. A silver lining of the silver lining, this offering to the sun god’s is a fitting way to kiss this year goodbye. Said special offering comes from Naarm local Sam Howard aka Ham.

Sam, a fellow wordsmith, and brethren of the beat. She knows her way around the decks, as well as the keyboard. An expert on reporting on, and to the dance floor. A musical journo with a sense of all sides of the dice, bias maybe, but never wrong. A lethal entity when put behind the decks, it’s easy to hear how she exploits her natural sense of rhythm for the powers of good. 

The mix itself is a perfect accompaniment to a backyard soiree to celebrate the coming of the warmth and the return of the outdoor dance. As chill as it is moving, this mix gently coaxes you through the motions to get your body moving again. It is dappled with transcendence and sprinkled with a familiar four by four to bait the mind back to those euphoric moments in the dust listening to loud music. A polite travel guide to convey you from the couch to the dance floor with plenty of stops to rest and replenish. Truly a joy to listen to, this is the soundtrack to begin a weekend away with your dear friends, or kick ons with your step-parents.

FHUO # 64 // Ham (aka Sam Howard)

Ten years ago Eddie honed his craft with a residency at Geelong’s most infamous Pub, The Nash. Through regular five-hour sets, he honed his DJ skills with journey inflected sets rarely encountered before in the town once dubbed Sleepy Hollow. Since then, he’s been hosting parties such as Mutant Dance, Tilt Shift and Sonic Therapy while holding down guest spots/residencies at Revolver Upstairs, Lucky Coq, Captain, Geelong Hotel, Xe54, New Guernica, Boney, The Gaso, Lounge and much more. Eddie knows his way around a dj booth or two, with call-ups to support artists such as Phil Kieran, Funk D’void, Magda, Mike Dunn and Techno mainstays Juan Atkins, Jimmy Edgar, Dave Clarke and playing after Jeff Mills in a rare Geelong show. His sound is inspired by Ron Hardy infused with Optimo - and given his broad, eclectic taste, his deejay sets are just as unpredictable. Since then he has been developing his productions skills with his first track released on Revolver Upstairs Records 2020 compilation and a full length electro inspired album to be released in late November 2021 on his record label Supermercado Records.

Pump and Fade as a record label stands out as a name so I wanted to blend an array of sounds using the name as a basis. My goal with this one was to bring in heavier and louder sounds while still being able to give the listener a break when transitioning into softer and more emotive selections, while still maintaining a balanced, yet constant energy throughout. Most of these sounds are originally inspired by my love for the Detroit and UK underground.
