... presenting my ambient set from Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival 2017, NSW Australia, closing the chill stage 4:30am & welcoming in the sunrise. Ambient music is very dear to my heart and this set is something of a milestone for me as it is my most ambient dj performance to date, one that features the brilliant slam poetry of Anis Mojgani, who’s words give such poignant depth to this musical journey and guide us that much deeper into what for me is a deeply emotional and spiritual experience. 

Our expressions and choices in life are outward manifestations of our inner life, informed by the shifts and changes that unfold as we remain heartfully engaged with our 'personal' evolution. As artists our works should change and develop, our works being the creative product of our inner enquiry and pursuit. I’m very pleased to stand back and witness the progression that my own creative life is taking, after many years I feel like I can start to see it beginning to taking shape. Slowly, patiently, gratefully and passionately I pursue this path that calls me forward, steadily awakening step by step into the self-realisation that is revealed in the walking… hopefully making good use of this short time I have been given, finding fulfilment in the journey and giving forth my gifts to make the world a better place… This is for me. This is for you.

Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival 2017 Ambient Sunrise Set

House, techno, downtempo, ambient, experimental, whatever stirs my soul or shakes my arse. 

... A musician for many years with a background of jazz drums, percussion and piano, Pumpernickle is now devotedly hurtling through space and time pursuing electronic music production and spinning tunes. Since 2012 the dj persona has had the primary focus, attaining a successful run through some of Australia’s major festivals, regular visits to the Melbourne club scene and an invitation to residency in Turkey’s 2016 summer (of course I went.. right in the middle of 2016's military coup... what a trip that was...). With a diverse musical palette, ranging from Ambient/experimental, World/Jazz, through Electronica, House, downtempo and main room Techno, Pumpernickle is becoming known as an intelligent and creative voice in the Australian electronic music scene. 
2017 and beyond sees his focus being channelled into studio production… great times of experimentation lie ahead bridging modular synthesis, live drums, techno, ambient, electronica, visions of a live solo show emerging… dreams of creating a 40ft school bus/motorhome/music studio and returning to Europe… Above all else, following a unifying desire to live this short life fully; engulfed by passion and purpose, exploring the fields of consciousness and human potential and just hopefully… helping others and making the world a better place at the same time…
