Sumac presents Marakame, a 7 track album available in digital and vinyl formats including remixes by Siete Catorce and Cassius Select. "Marakame" or “mara'akame" means "who knows" or "who sees" in Huichol, an indigenous language of Mexico. Marakame also refers to shamans, who are considered intermediaries between the human and spiritual worlds. Working with these themes, places and histories, Viiaan has crafted a series of tracks exploring memory, grieving and ritual.

ANGEL MIX 016 - SAVSANNAH

Bass Angels are proud to publish the very first (and certainly not last) 100 % BASS ANGELS PRODUCTION MIX ever. 

With one exception,all beauties that have been blended into this mix are all produced by the lovely members of our healthy, lovely thriving community.

This is a showcase mix rather than a techy one - the point was not to show off the DJ's "technical" skills but rather to share releases and unreleases from the community.

Founded just over a year ago in May 2024, Bass Angels is space for FLINTA enjoyers, producers and selectors of "bass music". In other words, we are united by our love for wobbly bass and satisfying drops that range from 120 to 170 bpm. It is a place that feels safe for all the FLINTA babes who shy away from loud, public social media where everyone needs to be constantly proving something or other. You can just be yourself—no algorithms, no performance, no metrics. Everyone gets a chance to be heard.

Throughout the months, this organically grown community has published a series of Angel Mixes that has swollen its founder's heart with a sense of pride and belonging. Two events have taken place in London, but the community is proudly global - don't be surprised if Bass Angels events pop up across the Atlantic sooner or later!

Na našoj klupskoj sceni nema puno DJ-eva koji će iza divljeg bangera vješto ubaciti remiksirani crkveni hit ili staru narodnu, a 𝗠𝗲𝗸𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 to radi s lakoćom i stilom. Porijeklom iz Bosne i Hercegovine, mlada novinarka član je kolektiva @heisse-scheisse i jedan od pokretača emisije 212°F na Radio Studentu.

Pored toga, nastupala je i kurirala emisije na drugim poznatim platformama, poput Radija Rudina, Tirkulture, Komrada i Black Teeth Recordsa. U klupskom okruženju Meka Drina ne traži sigurnu zonu, već teži istraživanju žanrova, tempa i atmosfera.

Kako kaže, njegovi glazbeni utjecaji mijenjaju se gotovo iz dana u dan. Inspiraciju najčešće pronalazi u bass kulturi pomiješanoj s brejkanjem, šejkanjem i dozom internetskog folklora. Upravo to njezinim setovima daje nepredvidivu energiju i originalan potpis.
