[DREFLTD003] Nocow - Iles LP

Dynamic Reflection proudly presents a new limited vinyl-only release from a Saint Petersburg-based producer Aleksei Nikitin, better known as Nocow. In true Nocow fashion, the album encapsulates an array of music styles that go beyond techno, which results in a refreshing take on the genre. 

Ambient drones, tribal undertones, UK garage influences and other 90’s aesthetics are among some of the impressions we’ve gotten from listening to “Iles”. Creating within a diverse spectrum of EDM sub-genres is something that comes naturally for the artist, who is already known for his versatility in music production. In the words of Nocow, this allows him to express his ideas to a higher degree of freedom.

The music on “Iles” serves as a language of subconscious that simultaneously brings out thoughtful reverie and the feeling of saudade. It is an emotional experience that connects a sense of nature’s mystique with a notion of the human Self, which allows for the listener’s inner dialogue in a moment of reflection.

Nocow’s music solidified him as a prominent artist within the contemporary techno scene and his new album is yet another proof of it. We are fascinated by the project and hope you enjoy the sonic world of “Iles” as much as we do.

Caterina Barbieri 'Fantas' (EMEGO 259)

Avilynn founded her label Taisha with the idea of altering the relationship between artist and music lover, and shifting their exchange away from the digital domain and back to the physical world.

The focus of the label is on releasing physical products – with emphasis on supporting physical record stores – as well as the use of the cityscape as the primary interface between musician and potential music listener. Access to Avilynn's music and multimedia output is made possible through stickers scattered about different city scapes (all over the world) which feature personal quotes from the artist and QR codes. Life experiences in macro and micro; daily reveries and introspections; byproducts of clubbing and city life...converted into sonic frequencies.


A four track vinyl-only EP that traverses hybrid techno subgenres. Hypnotic, opiate and cinematic – the stuff ready-made for synesthetes. Side A explores rich, multiplex, down-tempo soundscapes, while Side B is dancefloor oriented and focused on building different themes using the track structure. The highlight of the EP is the song ‘’Never Relax'', inspired by the realities of producing hidecibel club music in a house full of sound-sensitive neighbours.

Just before 2020 comes to an end, Berlin-based artist @leozylberberg graces this crazy (!) year  with an oddball of a track: “Sheshells” is a total earworm and at the same time a bit off, maybe. It’s chill, it’s haunted, and it might be the most appropriate end to 2020 one can imagine. “Despite its imperfections, it feels like some sort of antidote to something,” as the Australian artist puts it herself.

Sheshells is published as a digital single. It features an artwork from Paris-based graphic designer and art director Olga Prader’s Ftantasy series. The track is Präsens Editionen’s fourth audio release in 2020, following music by Remo Helfenstein, @samuelreinhard , and @damexlove , that is ranging from gospel and dark ambient-informed lullabies to proper sad-boy-reggaeton-heat.

Zylberberg is a mainstay at @sameheads , Berlin’s most infamous pub / fashion store / club / art space / what not. In 2017, she came to attention with a split tape realized with the wonderful Belia Winnewisser. Earlier this year, the Australian artist published Greatestings on @noisekoelln , a label that came back to life just for this highly limited 10” after a four-year period of inactivity. Zylberberg is part of Balance Crew alongside partner in crime @dane-close .
