Using only onboard EFX of the SC-55. A SNES/90's video game music inspired song. Apart of a upcoming album.

0:44 Field Theme: Mixed with a mini Battle Theme at 1:21.
2:12 Foggy Village: The hero wonders into what looks like a abandoned village covered with fog. 2:44, the fog starts to get a bit more thick. 3:14, the fog is mostly gone now revealing more of the village and some of its inhabitants.
3:46 Forest Theme: Having just come from the village the hero unknowingly walks into a forest. 4:28, the hero begins to soak himself in the forest ambiance.
5:28 Cave Theme: Leaving the forest, the hero now begins to descend into a cave. 6:19 the hero sees some other travelers and decides to join their group 6:31, they begin to ascend into the field, slowly revealing the field's sunlight. Now with a party, the hero and his companions now traverse the field once again.

Making of:
For the intro theme, but not a center theme I wanted to create something forbidding to capture the listeners. Kinda like a castle theme. I might come back to this part and extend it in future movements. This theme ends a bit abrupt but that was the intention as its not a one of the main themes. It ends on a Fmin chord going into D# Melodic Minor. The field theme is centered around Bb but in D# Melodic minor. Not a very common scale but suits what I had in mind. After about 16 bars it changes into Fmin to create that sudden battle feel then goes back to D#min. After the field theme ends the town theme starts. About 16 bars in, I start to add Sus 4 chords to create more of that foggy village I had in mind. After that, the song still remains in Gmin but with a slightly more upbeat atmosphere intill the end. Now the song is in C harmonic minor to create that peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with some flutes in the background doing Sus 4+2 chords to create more of that serene feel. After awhile, the cave theme starts in Fmin then later goes to G# to create once the hero sees some travelers, after that the song now goes into Bb and ends on a dominant F chord to go back to the field theme.

Distant Village

I'm not too sure how to best describe this track. It came to me while thinking about a fantasy landscape, sorta pastelish colored with mountains, grass and some waterfalls as far as the eye can see. In my opinion is quite nice to listen to while getting into a meditative state or at night. Enjoy! 

Plains of Eternity

I'm not really sure how this song all started. It was sometime in late 2012 or 2013 this was finished. It's going to be for a game when its released though, not originally for it. This is one of my personal favorites. You can interpret this song in many ways as it changes keys every 8 or sometimes 16 bars but yet still flows well. It's one of my weird composer quarks I guess. It follows a lot of music theory. You don't have to read the following as its details about the song's theory:

It starts out in G#min then goes to B. Nothing super fancy. Then goes to C#. After that goes to G# by dominance of C#. It then follows a chord progression of I, II, III, and a IV being chromatic ultimately landing on a Gmin chord being dominate going into Cmin now. After 6 bars it changes abit by adding a F chord from its harmonic minor scale. After that goes back to a normal Cmin scale.  It stays that way for 20 bars then goes to A#min. The tonality switches to F# for about 8 bars, finally switching tonality one last time to D#min thus looping over. I could write a lot more about this piece but I'd most likely not be able to find the correct words.

SC - 55 Snowy Plains

A video game music concept.  Using only old library's from the 90's. I'll probably do more like this since I have quite a few old library's that spark a lot of creativity.  Mostly various Roland samples were used for this.

Allies March

Using various old school samples and sounds. Mostly stuff from a Korg M1 and a Roland SC-88. I didn't have much of a initial idea of where I wanted this to go, but as I went along this sort of turned out to be something you'd here in a RPG title themes. Enjoy!

Originally wrote for a collaborative idea. We'd basically take a melody line we created and make our own song/style out of it.
