Noohra (Meaning Light) was played recorded mixed and done all in one day...The ideas just came as colours and I played live and constructed them into one piece of music...
Bass guitar is my 1st instrument so instinctively became the lead instrument on this track...the other sounds followed somewhat like puzzle pieces with magnets attached to them falling into place to create the following arrangement...

I could add and add to it but felt right to leave the journey for the idea it was at that moment...

Paul Lancaster AKA Punk Pappa, is a well respected Session Bass Player, Producer, MOBO
Award Winner,Songwriter and Artist.
His career in music has spanned over 20 years of working with some of the music industries
leading names.
With a comprehensive CV including a full spectrum of genres Paul forged a name as a session
player in the early 1990's as in house bass player with Steve Levine (The Beach boys, The Clash,
Ziggy Marley, XTC, Culture Club) which then led him onto working with numerous other producers
and some of Londons top studios on various Pop records which then automatically opened doors
for his extensive live and touring experience throughout the UK, USA & Europe.
His passion for playing Bass and energy “live” put him in the most talked about top UK Bass
players in 1998, with interviews as a Warwick Bass endorsee in Bass player magazine, and most
recently in 2012 a glowing article written about him in the Player Spotlight feature in worldwide
online American magazine 'No Treble'.
Paul's versatile style from the studio session scene allowed him to tour in many different genres
from: Rock, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Fusion, Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, Gospel and Motown.
