This is one of those songs that my guitar wrote: the opening picking pattern happened and that led to the first verse, which just opened up the words and melody of the chorus and the rest also dictated itself in a matter of minutes. I added a countermelody on piano, and some harp and stuff. Didn't know that I was writing abut a deep fissure in my own life till it was there.
