The EP includes two acoustic versions of his previously released singles ‘Hold On To Me’ and ‘and (We Don’t Have To) Walk Alone’. The singles have been on radio rotation at several stations in the U.S., including LA 88.5 FM ,KTAO(NM)Birch radio and LGBT station Bear radio, They reached  #1  spot on 102.1 WOW (MI)and  KTLZ Mix93 (MT) . Walk alone was played on Train Tracks (Sirius XM)The EP also includes a Nashville-style mix of ‘Walk Alone’, that features Nashville’s own steel guitarist, Smith Curry. Curry’s playing can be heard on recordings by Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Billy Currington and Taylor Swift. BAYWUD will also share one of his latest songs, ‘Where Was I Then’. Silver & Gold was inspired by a girl BAYWUD witnessed getting bullied on social media.  The song is about finding the beauty inside yourself, embracing your individuality, and accepting all of our unique differences.  It reminds us to ignore the haters, lead with love, and keep marching forward with our heads held high.

Silver & Gold

We dug deep on this one and wanted to write a song from both of our personal experiences with addiction, loss, hopelessness and struggle while finding a commonality in our stories.  At the core of these experiences there was still a sense of light and hope and a search for something tangible, while being able to come to terms with our own issues of self-doubt and control.  We wanted to treat each of the verses like a personal diary entry and let the chorus serve as the connected thread between both our journeys.

“This song can easily be interpreted as a sad song to anyone listening.  However, it’s not really how  I wrote the song.  Yes, it’s a song about losing someone but it’s more so a song about love about the  one person who was always able to rock you to sleep.  The one you felt completely and utterly safe with. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the relationship becomes stale , lost its luster.  It’s now a memory.  That’s the song.”

BAYWUD is back with a brand new single entitled ‘Dynamite’ co-written and produced by Montreal based Etienne Dupuis Cloutier aka D R M S
The song is a slight departure from his previous tracks which lean more towards the rock and folk genres. We see a new side of the Los Angeles based artist with this uplifting, Indie-pop tune. Opening with a layer of bold drums, synth overtones, and catchy lyrics, we are immediately drawn in.  BAYWUD’s lyrics send the message that, “Like a wolf in the night”, we all have the strength and power inside of us to fight and stand up for ourselves when we feel like we are under attack from the various injustices in our own personal worlds.
