'Noone St. Encounter' and all associated works were created, produced and compiled on unceded Aboriginal land. ‘Noone St. Encounter’ sonically depicts ex-terrestrial-isms that stem from an obsession of other worldly life forms. Rxex utilises modular synthesis to create atmospheres that are both biologically familiar and alien to the human ear. Probing beyond the outer orbits of the sound-solar system, Rxex incorporates psy-fi fantasy bass-abductionism to create a unique and varied sound that is informed by a distinctive modular synthesis. 

The release features an excellent remix by Naarm based Homelander that operates as a more functional dancefloor track to round out the EP.

A fierce introduction to the world of Oomycota, Confluence is the debut long form release presented by Naarm based bluhol (aka Loïcc).

Building upon bluhol’s debut liveset performed at Minutiae Festival, held on Wiradjuri Land in NSW during the new year cycle 23. Confluence represents a conscious shift in the Australian electronica soundscape, drawing deep inspiration from the vast bush land lining the eastern coast and paying homage to the unique nature and phenomenons that exist there.

bluhol, previously producing under Loïcc, is a sound artist based in Naarm, who’s roots are firmly planted in the Northern Tablelands of NSW. They intricately weave together the organic and synthetic, exploring the juxtaposition of nature’s fluidity with the structured rigidity of urban landscapes. With a keen focus on technical sound design and modular synthesis, bluhol crafts immersive auditory experiences that transport listeners into realms both melancholic and unsettling. Their compositions serve as a medium for contemplation, inviting audiences to reflect on the interplay between their past and future selves.

The imprint will be "a platform designed for sound experimentation" and the first missive backs that up with a great blend of drum & bass, half-time and techno. 'Magnetismo' is a prickly opener with slippery rhythms underpinned by bold bass. 'Domo' is a darker sound with menacing low ends and prickly percussive patterns while 'Sideral' is another late-night prowler with low sling sounds, eerie atmospheres and a real sense of futurism. Senses' opens up with a trippy blend of sleek minimal rhythms and paranoid vocal loops and 'Gataka' then layers up curling synths and jacked drums with some eerie late-night menace. 'Vulcan' then picks up the pace with another lithe and classy techno pumper then gets you into a hypnotic state and 'Sky Fusion' brings things to a close with some silky loops and funky rhythms.

Andy Garvey returns with her second EP release on Pure Space and the fifth EP in her ever-evolving discography. Mastermind explores the dystopian edge of creativity in the digital age - where innovation wrestles with commodification, and connection clashes with chaos. 

Opening with the Mastermind (Tek Mix), the EP launches into foreboding synthesis and a hypnotic pulse, reflecting the restlessness to disconnect from the endless noise. The Deep Mix offers a more meditative twist, pulling the same driving energy into murkier depths.

Two remixes close out the EP with commanding flair. al dente sharpens the original’s edges, injecting razor-sharp percussion and undeniable bass momentum, while LOIF deconstructs Mastermind into a swirling, percussive reimagination steeped in eerie atmospherics.

 "I remember making this during some freezing days between Christmas and New Year's. The main groove that started the whole track was initially generated by those little red lights that you normally put on your bike. I placed the lamp in front of a light sensor, which transforms the light into sound pulses. The lamp had a sequence of flashes that the sensor detected and the result was the main beat. I also remember experimenting with various AI tools to generate sound material, which I used as a starting point to modulate it."
