The title track, ‘Silent Ascension’, is a reflective slice of deep melodic house, featuring a rapturous melody and stunning vocals that float effortlessly above the production, creating an ethereal, otherworldly atmosphere. The second track, ‘Innocent’, takes a slightly different direction, with catchy trill-like synth work that adds texture to its introspective journey. The ‘Silent Ascension’ EP artwork features a photograph of Humpback whales taken by Rachel Moore. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.

Humpback whales play a vital role in the carbon cycle, each sequestering 33,000 kg of CO₂ over its lifetime — the equivalent of driving a gas-powered car 132,000 km. The ‘When I’m With You’ artwork features a free diver swimming through schooling bait fish in a hidden cave near Vava’u Island, Tonga, taken by Brooke Pyke. Brooke is an award-winning marine life photographer from Australia, based on Ningaloo Reef in WA. With a background in diving, she now focuses on ocean, travel, and adventure photography, capturing the beauty of the underwater world since 2014.

Tonga’s marine ecosystems are essential to Pacific biodiversity, home to unique species and vibrant coral reefs. Supporting community-based organizations like Vava'u Environmental Protection Association (VEPA) (@vavauenviro) helps protect these vital resources. This track sat on my hard drive for over two years. I kept skipping over it, not really sure if it was finished or if I was ready to share it. Coming back to it now, I realize it captured something I couldn’t fully express at the time.
The lyrics are simple but honest. I didn’t want to over-explain anything, just let the feeling sit. The verses are about realizing the truth too late, and the chorus isn’t even words. It’s just the sound of what that feels like.
The drop is a release. That moment when you stop holding it all in. Every section is built to carry that shift without needing to explain it.
This is what it sounds like when something breaks and you finally stop pretending it didn’t.
