Swiss brotherly duo ENØS make their label debut with their two-track ‘Universum’ EP on Purified Records. Showcasing their powerful progressive sound, the title track demands attention with rumbling bass and striking synth work. Flowing into ‘Fire Inside’, the pair continue their epic sonic journey, devising a vast and captivating arrangement that keeps energy levels high throughout its entirety. 

The ‘Universum’ EP artwork showcases a photograph of a reef shark, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Sharks are fascinating and diverse animals that have been in our ocean for over 400 million years, however there's much more to them than that. A world without sharks would have serious consequences for marine and freshwater ecosystems. Many human communities value sharks in their cultures and there are economies and communities that depend on them. Diverse shark populations are important for healthy oceans, yet many species are in danger of disappearing from our waters. The biggest threat faced by sharks across the world is overfishing, which is why organizations such as the Shark Trust focus so much of their efforts on fisheries management and shark conservation. They work to improve, implement and enforce legislation, and to transform fisheries – all with the aim of safeguarding the future of sharks. The Grey Reef Shark Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos is listed as endangered according to the IUCN Red List.

Located on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, Daniel Nicholson is one of the globe’s most prominent professional underwater photographers. He seeks to share the beauty and magic of the underwater world to inspire conservation and change.
