Purified family members Paradoks and Jono Stephenson join forces for their outstanding debut collaboration, ‘Pulling Me To You’. Expertly blending their individual sounds in sonic harmony, the producers devise a euphoric soundscape that is completed by Frynn’s majestic vocals. 

The ‘Pulling Me To You’ artwork features an underwater still of the ocean, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Warming waters, driven by climate change, are causing significant disruptions in our oceans, impacting marine life and ecosystems. As ocean temperatures rise, species are forced to migrate to cooler areas, altering traditional habitats and breeding grounds. Coral reefs, crucial for marine biodiversity, are experiencing severe bleaching, leading to the loss of vital ecosystems that many marine creatures rely on. Additionally, the melting of polar ice caps due to warming waters contributes to rising sea levels, threatening coastal communities and habitats. These temperature shifts disrupt food chains, impacting fish populations and the fishing industries dependent on them. If current trends persist, the future health of our oceans and the balance of marine life will be at grave risk, with far-reaching consequences for global ecosystems and human societies.

Located on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, Daniel Nicholson is one of the globe’s most prominent professional underwater photographers. He seeks to share the beauty and magic of the underwater world to inspire conservation and change.

Paradoks & Jono Stephenson - Pulling Me To You Feat. Frynn

Following his ‘Cold Strings’ EP back in May earlier this year, German producer Alex Breitling returns to Purified Records with his latest offering ‘Skyfall’. Devising a melodic soundscape with undulating synth patterns across deep bass, his latest cut embodies his euphoric and powerful musical identity. 

The ‘Skyfall’ artwork showcases an image of a hammerhead shark, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Hammerhead sharks are known for their distinctive, hammer-shaped heads, which give them an advantage in maneuverability and detecting prey through specialized sensory organs. These adaptations make them highly effective hunters of stingrays, fish, and other sharks. Unfortunately, many hammerhead species are endangered due to overfishing for their fins, habitat destruction, and bycatch, making conservation efforts crucial to their survival. Continuing his journey with Purified Records, South African artist Jono Stephenson delivers ‘Digital Rain’, an electrifying testament to his mastery of melodic techno and deep house. The single unfolds with pulsating basslines, cascading melodies, and atmospheric textures, balancing uplifting harmonies with darker undertones. Jono’s unique ability to blend emotional depth with dancefloor energy solidifies his place as a rising star in electronic music.

The ‘Digital Rain’ artwork shows the River Otta near the town of Lom in Norway, captured after several days of heavy rain by Jan Erik Waider. A fine art photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, Jan is known for capturing abstract landscapes of the northern latitudes. With a focus on water, ice, and intricate natural patterns, his work reveals the beauty hidden in the subtle details of the world around us.

The water, laden with sediments, created striking patterns through the currents. The river’s name likely originates from the Old Norse verb ótta, meaning “to scare” or “to terrify.” Fed by glaciers, the river is known for its strong and fierce flooding, particularly during periods of intense rainfall or glacial melt.

Jono Stephenson - Digital Rain

The Fragments series returns with its next carefully curated installment, ‘Fragments XXVIII’, introducing three rising talents to the Purified Records family—each delivering a track that has already lit up live sets across the international circuit. If I? sets the tone with ‘Sirens’, a deep and entrancing production that unfolds with hypnotic melodies and an irresistible flow. Solink follows with ‘Luminous’, blending intricate textures and a pulsating groove to create a truly rapturous listening experience. Closing the collection, Oblivium delivers ‘Aura’, a driving and uplifting piece propelled by a shimmering lead synth that ripples with energy. From expansive atmospheres to vibrant, pulse-driven moments, ‘Fragments XXVIII’ weaves a rich sonic tapestry that feels right at home on the dancefloor.

The ‘Fragments XXVIII’ artwork is a photograph of a Scalloped hammerhead shark cruising the reef wall at Darwin Island, Ecuador, taken by Brooke Pyke. Brooke is an award-winning marine life photographer from Australia, based on Ningaloo Reef in WA. With a background in diving, she now focuses on ocean, travel, and adventure photography, capturing the beauty of the underwater world since 2014.

The scalloped hammerhead's wavy head sets it apart from other hammerhead species, whose heads are flatter. This shape enhances its electroreception, allowing it to better detect prey in sand or mud, a feature shared with other hammerheads but more pronounced in this species. Shark Conservation Fund (@sharkconservationfund) is a global collaboration focused on protecting sharks and rays, investing in policy, science, and advocacy to halt their decline.
