Deep & Progressive Session

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint presents the sixth installment of it's 'Correlation' series. Released in August of 2017, the inaugural edition featured a unique blend of untapped talent along with industry veterans, resulting in a cohesive fusion of artists from across the world. The label's borderless music policy was also well represented, showcasing a wide spectrum of electronica, from organic house to melodic house and deeper progressive grooves. In past editions, Sound Avenue has kept the track selection concise, with an average of just ten submissions making the final release. The continued growth of label affiliates 3rd Avenue, Crossfade Sounds, and Future Avenue have propelled the label's demo submissions exponentially across the last years. Add to that, a continually expanding music policy, and the 2024 edition of ‘Correlation' was finalized with eighteen beautiful selections.

Nestora - Reflections

Delivering its latest installment of its revered Fragments series, Purified Records delivers Fragments XXII. Opening the compilation with Georgian producer Whiteout’s enchanting track ‘Echoes’, this cut ebbs and flows with intricate percussion and gentle melodies. Flowing into Danish artist Kiholm’s ‘Fighting for Something’ Ft. Ivy Marie, this creation achieves sonic bliss with soothing vocals across a delicate melodic house arrangement. Completing the series, Australian talent Juno Stone delivers ‘Alpine Ascent’. Rising into a lofty dimension, this carefully crafted piece reflects its title, reaching great heights with touching piano melodies and gradual synth work. 

The Fragments XXII displays an incredible shot of a Netrostoma jellyfish, captured by Daniel Nicholson. The Netrostoma jellyfish, also known as the crown jellyfish, is easily recognizable by its dome-shaped bell and delicate, trailing tentacles. They have a unique, crown-like structure on top of its bell, giving it a regal appearance. Additionally, some species of Netrostoma are bioluminescent, creating a mesmerizing light show underwater. Although not currently assessed for a specific conservation status by the IUCN, jellyfish populations face threats from climate change, pollution, and overfishing, which disrupt their natural habitats. Protecting marine environments is essential to maintaining the balance of ecosystems that support species like the Netrostoma jellyfish. 

Located on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, Daniel Nicholson is one of the globe’s most prominent professional underwater photographers. He seeks to share the beauty and magic of the underwater world to inspire conservation and change.

Dekkai bring their first release to Colorize with triumphant two-track EP 'Cordelia / Empyrean'. 

The Slovakian duo bring their polished Prog House sound to Colorize starting with 'Cordelia', a lush, vibrant track which was featured in Matt Fax's mix for Colorize's 'Colorscapes' compilation. They follow up with 'Empyrean', a darker and more nebulous track that perfectly compliments the former, with both tracks highlighting Dekkai as ones to watch on Colorize.

The title creation is a downtempo cut, which places a softly spoken vocal and airy synths across a deep bassline. With gentle piano chords and dispersed percussion, this touching piece is the definition of his signature sound. Flowing into ’The Room’, Rylan treats listeners to a mysterious B-side, which builds slowly across its duration. Employing a reverberating bassline and spacey synths, Rylan creates an unearthly atmosphere that once again portrays his production prowess.
