If you don't know, in March, 2023 Georgian government wanted to push FARA bill (similar to Russian FARA bill), but we started protesting it and they pushed it back. However, during these protests immense amount of tear gas, water canons and different violent actions were used by the police force to disperse protesters, but we kept pushing back. Currently, we see how the government is spreading lies about protests, but they forget that we are stronger than ever.

Light that shines through

"Tavisufleba" is a Georgian word and it means freedom. This track is dedicated to the people of Georgia fighting for freedom and better future.  

The governing party in Georgia has reintroduced a controversial piece of legislation, originally known as the “Russian Law.” Despite facing massive public protests last year, which led to the proposal’s withdrawal, the party has now made a slight modification in terminology—from “agent of foreign influence” to “organization carrying the interests of a foreign power.” This change in nomenclature does little to alter the substance of the law, which requires Georgian organizations receiving more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register under this new designation. This move, akin to Russia’s “Foreign Agents” legislation, threatens to undermine civil liberties by imposing numerous reporting requirements, inspections, and severe penalties for non-compliance. Despite the disinformation, we are stronger than ever. We are here and we are ready to fight. 

Sound used in the last bit of the track is recorded by me during last years police raid of the protest against the same law.
