Turning Tides

At last, the day has come.
The day I release into the world something that has been writing itself within me for twelve years.
With pauses, with pain, with awe, with faith.
Requiem. The work of my life so far.

In the beginning, I wrote without much purpose. Because if I can—then why not?
But over the years, this piece became more than just music. It became a path.
And this last year made me understand exactly what it was all for.
And why now.

This is not a requiem for death.
This is a requiem for life.
It is light.
It is not a funeral mass, but a voice saying:
“Thank you for letting me live. And for letting me keep living. Just like this.”

With people who love. With moments that teach. With experiences that break you and then remake you.

But this piece is also something more.
It’s armor.
Forged from truth I hammered out over years when life was anything but gentle.
And from today on—I will pass that armor on.
Not to defend myself.
But so that every good person I meet can receive even a fragment of courage.
To keep going. Honestly. With head held high.

Because the only thing truly worth being in life—is a good human being.
Not clever. Not cunning. Not successful at the expense of others.
Good.

And now I say it out loud—to those who walk through life with cold eyes:
If you hurt others, if you lie, if you live as if no one else matters—then you know who you are.
And it’s not about fear.
It’s about looking in the mirror and asking yourself honestly:
Is that really how you want to be remembered?

Because the day will come. For everyone.
A day when you won’t answer to your god, the world, or other people.
Only to yourself.

And may you then be able to say:
“The universe remembered. And day by day, it came for me...
But today I stand. I don’t hide. I feel no shame.
I’m proud of who I was. And how I lived this life.”

That’s what I wish for you. All of you.
That you settle accounts with yourselves—before the world does.
And that you can say, without blinking an eye:
“I gave goodness. I didn’t do to another what I wouldn’t want done to me.”

Because only you know what you gave this world.
And what you took from it.
