Rebar's ever-expanding ‚made of Concrete‘ continues it's efflorescence as it presents the next instalment on the label which comes courtesy of Stuttgart based Kelvin Belton. Anyone who has seen Belton in action will be familiar with his profuse productions and the vitality of his live performances. He is an artist who draws effectively on the intrigue of human touch when making and presenting his music and is lauded for his bold, precise club music.

Here, he presents his 'Dub That Chord' EP - a heady, kinetic set of moods which meld the subaqueous sonics of Dub with the rough, frazzled textures of Techno. The title track kicks things off with a sunken, swirling chord set stabbing over a steady, rumbling low end. Interchanging hats swap in / out which keeps a vibe bubbling throughout. 'Multiple Dimension's then follows up with a sharp 909 hat set slapping above a bright and clear kick drum. More dubbed out tones bleed in and work to conjure up emotions found in those long, dawn lit dance-floor sessions where the haze of the day begins to illuminate a once darkened club space. 

'Movement' then follows up with a potent, no nonsense tool. A burly kick hammers under tribal percussion, fuzzy FX and a warped drone which keeps pressure up throughout. Barcelona's Victor Fernandez then follows up with his pacy take on the title track. The original's deep chords are given FX treatment in a track which playfully switches between broken beat structures and racing, 4/4 drums.

More than 20 years after it was first launched, Gaetano Parisio has revived his well regarded techno label Conform. The new era starts with a new CONFORM RE-TOUCHED SERIES which will be released in 4 volumes over the coming months and contain classic Conform tracks that have been re-edited by some of techno’s most influential artists. 

Volume II arrives in June (26th) with the likes of The Advent, Deetron, Shlomi Aber, Sterac, and Matrixmann all featuring.

First up is Swiss maestro Deetron, who has been laying down his sleek grooves for many years. His take on Outset is a quick techno roller with hypnotic drums and icy pads. Next is the Be As One label boss Shlomi Aber, a long time titan of the scene who hails from Israel. His urgent remix of Watch Out is layered up with rubbery drums and mind melting synths to make for a real cosmic trip. 

The Advent has long been synonymous  with hard hitting techno as a live act and studio wizard. His most recent album was an excellent electro exploration. Here he flips Advanced Series Vol.1 A1 into a metallic banger with paranoid synths circling around the groove. Sterac goes last and is the Dutch legend Steve Rachmad in his techno guise. His rapid remix of Advanced Series Vol.1 A1 is riddled with rubbery bass and molten synths and takes you into the future. Last of all, the digital only bonus ups a remix by the inventive producer Matrixxmann who offers the dark and driving Nihilist mix. 

This is a fantastic way to relaunch a much-missed techno label and marks the start of a great new series.

After 20 years of incessant and persistent work-in clubs all over the world, Victor M- -has become one of Spain’s top DJs and producers -whose influences have been hip-hop, funk and the house, among other styles. Pushmann, delivers techno for the mind body and soul.

PUSHMANN produces a Detroitesque sound with clear and strong influence of European sound, Berlin and Birmingham. His imaginary sound is based on the fast-paced, industrial and mechanical high-octane techno. In his classic genre he delivers raw goodness to intrigue the listener and take him or her to a higher level. Power, darkness and fierceness serving the dance floor. His special attention and taste for metallic percussion and steel cavernous drums well located in front of everything, almost martia, or warlike. Also draw attention to their surgical and haunting melodies, looped and accelerated to paroxysm. Sophisticated bestiality that stuns and spreads like wildfire.
As a DJ, this self-confessed lover of vinyl-and three deck performances- enjoys a refined technique after many years of selecting only the best techno, house and ghetto-techno- sessions defined as strong, energetic and vibrant.
