This track was released in a transition time before i had fully crystallized the idea for Push/Pull.  I think it is the most organic, collaborative, and generally bad ass track that Sheridan and I made together.  I'm so super proud of it!   It sort of flew under the radar when it was released so i figured I'd put it up here for y'all to enjoy :)  The track was released Addictech Records in December 2011 (?! *wow time flies* ?!)

This is a condensed version of an hour long talk that the great Native American activist, orator and thinker John Trudell gave.  He is a huge inspiration and has a real gift for cutting through the nonsense and illusion.  When i heard this original speech, it went straight to my heart and left me in tears.  I made this little piece a year ago with the idea of further refining it and using it in my sets when appropriate... it never surfaced... now at this critical juncture I feel it is more appropriate than ever and just want to share it for it's raw truth and beauty.  With all that we are facing after the election and especially with all the water protectors in North Dakota standing up for the life of our children and our sacred gifts mother earth, we must defend the sacred and create tthe future we know is our birthright.  "We are all shapes of the earth"  "we are power" lets use our clarity and natural power. Lets claim our right to a beautiful, bountiful and just world.  


Water is life.  love is the answer but we have to enACT it <3<3<3

Really stoked to break a long silence with this remix for my ultra talented homies in Papadosio.  They are the absolute cutting edge of combining the live and organic with the infinite possibilities of digital and electronics.  It was great reinterpreting and integrating their sounds. I grew up loving the Crystal method.  Their sound and style has influenced my own musical expression quite a bit over the years.  Big Beats!  So in the spirit of humble appreciation i decided to take a few chunks of their songs (mostly the breakdowns) and use their work as the jumping-off point for a completely different song;  this is what i came up with!  I released it as part of a free compilation promo album for a very Lespecial event up in Boston :)  

I highly recommend checking out the rest of the album.  It was put together by some of my friends at Lost in Sound and all the artists are certainly well worth some of your attention  ;)
