I wanted this to be the first track from Drive I shared with you all not because it's the biggest or the best, but because it's probably my personal favourite.

The album was basically inspired by a road trip I took with my wife from New York to Los Angeles last year, taking in Route 66 and numerous ghost towns, deserts, mountain passes, dirt roads etc, and I came up with the melody for this one towards the end, somewhere in the Mojave Wilderness as we finally made it into California, the setting sun of the West in the distance. A long way from home, and still fairly far from our final destination, but the end was in sight. And that's the moment the track basically came to describe. It isn't really a club banger, or a club track. It's just something I felt like writing.

Anyway - enough deep shit. Still feels slightly surreal to be sharing this body of work after waiting so long. More soon.

After years of a career in the commercial electronic scene, he discovered the DJS who sculpted his sound to what it is today. Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Tenaglia, Guy J and John Digweed are his biggest inspirations. Since finding his true sound, Johnny has played alongside many talented local and international DJS in Montreal, Canada's most popular clubs Stereo Afterhours, Stereobar, New City Gas and Circus Afterhours.

Quivver has been a constant force in the scene for two decades. He is one of the few that constantly deliver music of the finest quality day in, day out.

Three tracks to drool over here, kicking off with 'Response'. This draws on all of his hallmark sounds. Trippy vocal fx, swaggering percussion, a nasty underlying bassline and stabby synths, and superb melodics, that all culminate in a dance floor gem. Its unmistakable Quivver, and thats why we love it. 

'Call' is a beautiful warmth oozing gem, that sways along full of brightness and feel good vibes, but still with a deeper tinge and plenty of drive. Wait for that synth line... 

And rounding things off, we have the layered gem that is 'What Am I Dreaming?'. Tripped out and dreamy, yet dirty and punchy. This is cool in anybodies book.

Guest Mix for Sergio Argüero's show Sequence - 110216

Argentina and Canada unites again in perfect synchronicity with Modern Agenda’s last release of 2016. The Isabella EP is a present for a little baby girl from her father to commemorate his love for her. Music is best created with emotion in mind and this is what the artists involved and Modern Agenda bring to you with this release.

Initially, Lucas Rossi and Amber Long were asked to make Isabella’s gift but the story moved Fernando Ferreyra and Robert Mason to make their own renditions, using Amber’s vocals. From sunset to sunrise, there’s an original in this trio to suit any Progressive House lover’s palette.
