As we welcome another talented artist to our family we asked Viken about the first part of a two part release and he told us...

"it's really important to understand that this EP is a series of pictures telling a story. Combining the names of all the tracks one gets this interesting and dreamy sentence,'On A Blue Road - A White Shadow - Feels The Winter'.To translate these pictures into music, I needed a very particular sound. Since I am a huge fan of Jazz music I took one of my favorite records, used a lot of samples and reworked them in my own way. From the technical aspect, I decided to reconnect with my first love: analog machines. I love working with sound textures. I stayed away from my laptop and all my VST/Plugins as I felt the need to compose these tracks in an unusual way: I wanted the sound to be really pure. That's the reason why this process was so essential for me. For me, this EP is the first one to sound like this".

This is the first of two releases from a deeply talented soul. A patient collage of house, jazz, acid squiggles and deep emotion. Played and loved all summer long by Lee Burridge at All Day I Dream, these tracks will stay with you through winter and into next summer.

The pampa, filled with enigmatic lines and geoglyphs known as Nazca, gives name to this record label.

Nazca Records was created to collect the music that Viracochas (beings of other worlds), shared with the ancient Nazca people, known for their love for music, dance and nature. 

These recordings represent the music that was once played in another time and that will be played again in the future…They are the memories of the future.

Each vinyl and recording tells a story of the memories from each ceremony that took place in the Pampa Colorada, from music that was played, and of the figures and lines that the Nazcas used to show their gratitude to the Viracochas.
Maybe you’re wondering how its possible or how we were able to capture those recordings in Nazca Records to then press to vinyl. 
It has been discovered that if an intelligent or exotic species wanted to connect to others, they would use radio signals as they can travel any distance and require very little energy to send.
The logical wave frequency to communicate would be 1420 Megahertz, which is the frequency irradiated by the neutral hydrogen, when its atoms interact between each other. 
Based on this info and knowing that hydrogen is the most abundant element in space, and after a lot of tries, in the end we were finally able to connect with the Viracochas!
This second vinyl contains recordings of the Viracocha Rigopolar. A disc, a journey, a history narrated along the 4 tracks and represented by the lines that the Nazcas called “the greater hands.”

German duo Brigade make their debut on Get Physical and show why they are one of the hottest pairs in the game right now.

Since 2013 Brigade has mixed up a hip hop attitude with techno, leftfield indie sounds and their own sense of fun. They have a funky downtempo live act as well as being eclectic DJs and are associates of labels like Majestic Casual, Heimlich Musik and 3000 Grad.

Opener here ‘Obacht’ is a sumptuous deep disco house cut with elastic drums and bass stretched between the kicks in funky fashion. Astral pads extend to the cosmos and make this a lush, loveable groover that builds in momentum to sweep you off your feet.

‘Jesus Saves’ is as good as its title suggests: celestial keys and chords
bring melodic richness while heavy, lazy drums roll below. It’s a gorgeously airy, expansive track that is perfect for outdoor sets. Bavarian Kalipo’s remix brings his mix of melodic house to the fore as he layers in rugged arps, tooting chords and glassy pads that chug along in kaleidoscopic fashion.

This is melodic electronic music at its finest.

Arnau Obiols and KAYYAK met just last year through their girlfriends who happen to be sisters. As one can imagine it did not take long until the two brothers-in-law sat in the studio together for the first time accompanied by Swiss bass player Jules Martinet and with vocals by South African Singer B’utiza as well as Mozambican vocalist Tcheco who is part of the legendary band Ghorwane (Real World Records). The energy during the production of these songs came to life and resulted in the two originals on this record. Folkloric tradition with modern programming, acoustic drums, percussion with acid, echo feedback and psychedelic sounds all infused by funky basslines.

In addition they invited Kalabrese and MLiR to do a remix. Both of them being artists close at heart for Arnau and Kay.
