a beautiful arrangement - suits your singing style so very well

This song is about political predation I started to see, beginning in the US, around 2000. It got far worse, in my estimation, around 2010. It's a song I had bouncing around in my cluttered mind for years, but never actually sat down and flushed out until 2010. Or so? I dunno. The final lines "don't place blind faith in black snake politicians" is an overt reference to fossil fuel corporations, their corrupt relationships with politicians in the US and abroad, and corporate capture of the US government. I got the idea from the indigenous legend "Prophesy of the black snake." Pipelines and oil trains, the visible signs as literal power is amassed and America literally divided. Americans, literally divided. Political power isn't as easy to see, but t's just as destructive. More so.

I wrote this song about 15 years ago. The original version sounds much different, and in my opinion, much worse. I heard it recently and realized that I have struggled to record this song for years in its truest form. I think I've captured this song finally. It's not perfect. None of my work is. But I'm happy that this song is finally in the world of songs now. After 15 years with my lover, it was certainly a "Right Whim".

My sword is my mouth and I
Need to get gone know why
My edge is by sharpness
that's dull on the side

This is a re-recording of an old song of our old band from the early 90s. I couldn't convince our singer @user-20931549 to sing on it yet (or any other member to record their parts), so all done by myself few years ago, for now as an instrumental. Anyway, I like it ;-)
