Ibrahim Nehme is a writer from Lebanon who spends his days imagining new futures and convincing people to believe in them. Frida is a songwriter and a singer from Lebanon. She stumbled into music through a delightful experiment on the power of joy and the almighty role of intuition in tapping into creative powers. She has since been exploring her voice and the sounds that lie within her as a way to discover the truth of who she is. Félix Fivaz is a swiss drummer, composer, and producer. After more than a thousand concerts and a wide variety of projects, and through his exploration of sound, touch and energy, his aim is to turn each moment of music into an experience to remember. Florian Bolliger is a musician, bassist and teacher based in Zürich, Switzerland. After his deep exploration and knowledge of Jazz music and with his belief in Play as the ultimate path to freedom, he is now playing his bass in different projects in Switzerland and around the world.

SANDMOON

Beirut-based indie band sandmoon offers an original take on pop-rock, blending it with subtle Middle-Eastern intonations, thus creating a unique timeless space.

The band has been doing live gigs (Beirut, London, Brussels…) and releasing albums for more than 10 years, attracting media attention and a cult-like following especially in the Middle East, yet also beyond its borders.

Selected as one of the 13 best indie female singers in the Middle East by Cairo Scene/Scene Noise two years in a row, sandmoon also won the Award for Best Soundtrack at the Lebanese Movie Awards 2017 for the soundtrack of “Listen” directed by renown Lebanese director, Philippe Arcatingi.

They released their first album “Home” in 2014, an EP “#IntheEnd” in 2016 and in 2018, a 3-song EP “Beirut-Berlin Session” produced by Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave, PJ Harvey…). Their second full length album, “Put a Gun/Commotion” was released in May 2020, followed by “While We Watch the Horizon Sink” in November 2022, both produced at Beirut’s acclaimed indie studio, Tunefork Studio.

Starting in 2024, sandmoon will be releasing a series of one-off singles, the first one being “Confessions” – release date: 31st May 2024.

CONFESSIONS

First in a series of singles sandmoon will be releasing, “Confessions” opens the ball with a straightforward, 80’s revival indie-pop song in a contemporary dress, bathing in synth melodies and flowy vocals about the feeling of release when liberating oneself from the shackles of past secrets.
