I discovered this old track recently and loved his pumping bass and tropical vibes with warm lyrics. I wanted to do an fresh edit from the original version.
Julien Clerc is a well known french pop singer, he was the most successful during the 80s-90s. “Mangos” lyrics were written by Serge Gainsbourg. This track was part of the album “Sans Entracte” released in 1980, he also went out in single format the same year.

Welcome to the 11th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic brought to us by Spanish 🇪🇸 producer @GavioOfficial.

Label boss @BenSpaldingOfficial curates another killer release on @PuzzleProjectsMusic, this time welcoming Berlin-based powerhouse Gavio. The talented Spanish producer has been building a sterling reputation during his time in the German capital, spinning at renowned venues like Tresor, Sisyphos, Kit Kat and Ritterbutzke, while also cultivating an impressive back catalogue of releases.

Gavio’s signature sound fuses soul and funk influences with a raw underground energy, juxtaposing soulful elements with punchy beats and groovy bass. It’s deep, yet energetic, providing the dance floor with the perfect blend of ingredients to get it moving and shaking, all while keeping it emotionally charged and nourishing for the soul.

The ‘Between You & Me’ EP kicks off with ‘Ask Me About the Future’ (PPM0018) with solid beats pumping the track along and a seriously groove-heavy low end. Jazzy keys soon enter the fray, complementing the heavyweight bass and we’re soon entering deep house heaven. Gavio builds the track with a layer of dramatic neon synth stabs, before we enter a killer breakdown and a funk-laden second half. 

Next up is ‘Frivolous Gathering’ PPM0019, which also combines complementary soulful and jazzy elements with crisp 4x4 beats and dynamite percussion. Gavio’s deep knowledge of house music is evident here as he takes a considered approach to production, incorporating familiar cues and instrumentation in his own unique way. This cut rolls out with sublime, mesmerising progression. There’s a brief moment where the energy drops, before Gavio ups the ante for a thrilling finale. 

Keep your eyes and ears open to the @PuzzleProjectsMusic release schedule. The next release sees San Francisco-based artist @LeBantMusic drop a powerful slo-mo dark disco-inspired bomb of an EP. And there’s lots more flavour to come with @BenSpaldingOfficial and @RonaldChristoph showcasing their first material to the public with two quick succession EP’s in springtime. 

Exciting times for an exciting label.

Welcome to the 12th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic brought to us by UK 🇬🇧 producer @LeBantMusic.

@PuzzleProjectsMusic returns with another quality release (PPMEP7), boosting its discography and showcasing label head @BenSpaldingOfficial’s impeccable A&R and curatorial skills. This time around we have a two-tracker from San Francisco-based Brit, @LeBantMusic. The talented producer has been quietly working on music and refining his skills for the best part of a decade, only now releasing it to the public. It’s a privilege for @PuzzleProjectsMusic to provide an outlet for LeBant and his synth-powered disco and sci-fi funk.

The EP begins with ‘Dream On’, a great intro to LeBant’s style, with the low end driven by a hypnotic disco rhythm. You’ll be hooked from the off and immersed in the interstellar atmospherics once it gets into its groove. LeBant’s ability to create a strong narrative and engrossing progression evident throughout this cut which features a superb sample in its second half. 

‘Rocking It’, is next up. This is a low-slung groover with retro electrified vocals which will transport the listener back to the genesis of electro music back in the early eighties - expect electric boogaloo and robotic moves on the dance floor when this is dropped. LeBant creates a jaunty, nu-disco vibe, adding layers of synthesiser funkadelia to weave a meandering, yet enchanting story. 

@PuzzleProjectsMusic continues to impress, delivering an eclectic assortment of high-quality electronic music from its ever-growing family of highly skilled, tenacious artists. 

Keep your ear to the ground forthcoming releases from the label, including a monster release from the boss @BenSpaldingOfficial and renowned Berlin-based Musician and Producer @RonaldChristoph.
