Welcome to the 14th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic brought to us by UK 🇬🇧 producer @LeBantMusic.

Taking things down a notch after the thumping dance floor cuts on the previous releases, @PuzzleProjectsMusic opens its doors to @LeBantMusic once again. The Bristol-raised, San Francisco-based producer has been carefully cultivating his own nu-disco-tinged sound for the past 10 years, adopting a focused, meticulous approach. By taking his time and refining his craft privately and patiently @LeBantMusic has arrived with a maturity beyond his years on the scene. As a relative newcomer, his sound is nuanced, confident, and utterly enchanting. 

This two-track EP kicks off 'Network Groove' (PPM0025) locking us into a hypnotic disco groove, utilising organic-sounding percussion and building up to breakdown just before the two-minute mark. @LeBantMusic adopts a less-is-more approach with this cut, keeping it simple, while also imbuing the track with his own distinctive personality. Flourishes of trumpet pop up to add character, while the bassline continues to transfix you all the way until the glorious end.

This ‘follows with Attention!' (PPM0025), a soothing funked-up number full of analogue melodies, strings, and pads that wash over you. LeBant's firm grasp of arrangement and narrative keeps the track lively and interesting throughout, telling a gripping story with his retrofied production. 

@LeBantMusic’s arrival on the scene marks a critical step forward for the artist as he finally introduces the world to his sound and prepares to step into his power as an artist. Rest assured this is an artist whose talent and dedication are a perfect fit for @PuzzleProjectsMusic.

FunkeeSounds is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with as he returns to PuzzleProjectsMusic for his third outing. The Frenchman has a penchant for 70s soul vocals, developed through his love of disco, soul, and funk from years gone by. This brings a timeless quality to his productions as he channels the golden era through today’s technology to produce authentic contemporary electronic funk for the heads who’ll truly feel it. 

His latest EP begins with ‘City Lights’ (PPM0026), another funk-fuelled adventure. This time FunkeeSounds picks up the pace a little, cultivating a rich, warm atmosphere which is amplified by another excellent vocal performance. The drums skip along with a jaunty pace, while strings and delicate chimes amplify the breezy, summertime feel. Not to mention the irresistible bassline that keeps things grooving throughout. The production provides the perfect backdrop for the vocals to do their work, exuding positive energy from start to finish. 

On the flip, we have ‘I Feel Good’ (PPM0027), a seriously groovy number with organic-sounding percussion complementing the sultry twang of the guitar-driven bass accompanied by glistening keys. FunkeeSounds builds the atmosphere carefully, with subtle progression and perfectly placed filters to add an extra boost of energy at optimum moments.  To top it all off, we get delectable vocals that add a wonderfully uplifting edge to the track and transport you to a smoky basement lounge somewhere deep in the city.

@PuzzleProjectsMusic returns with another hot debut from its diverse roster of talent. Based in Bogota, Colombia via Brazil, where he was born and raised, Katorzi was originally a bass player in an indie band, over the years he has broadened his scope, moving to Bogota in 2018 where he began to make connections with the city’s Latin and electronic music scenes. A devout record collector, Katorzi’s heart beats to the rhythm of funk and he is constantly exploring different avenues with his music. On the Skidum EP we get a taste of his love for Brazilian music, merging vintage flavours and Afro-Brazilian percussion with modern production techniques. 

‘Skidum’ (PPM0028) splices South American vibes with nu-disco composition to produce an infectious dance floor bopper. The bassline is utterly irresistible, with an oh-so-familiar feeling permeating throughout and hints of the cuica drum adding local character. Not forgetting the vocal hook, which gives this track even more Latin appeal. 

‘In This’ (PPM0029) keeps it sultry, grooving and hot like a sweat-drenched Brazilian dance floor. You can almost feel the beads of sweat forming on your forehead. Traditional Brazilian percussion and strings push this cut forward as Katorzi cultivates a warm, inviting vibe. The mood is understated yet positive and invigorating.

DJ, producer & label head @Benspaldingofficial officially launches @PuzzleProjectsMusic with a serious statement of intent as one of the underground labels to watch, with their first release, ‘Ol’ Dirty Blades’ by Spanish producer B4ck To L1fe AKA Danny Dominguez (@ynnad-zeugnimod)

A brilliant, buzzing track that blurs the lines between house, disco and salsa (yes, really), ‘Ol Dirty Blades’ begins life as a head-nodding, foot-tapping low-slung nu-disco workout before exploding into life halfway through. 

The script is flipped as it evolves into a dramatic second act as a salsa-banger, all Mediterranean sunshine and Carnival energy. 

It’s almost a miracle the track is being released. The party-starting track lay lost on B4ck To L1fe’s hard drive after being created 7 years ago. But, after hearing ‘Ol’ Dirty Blades’, Ben just knew it had to be released and brought back to life. 

Also, make sure to check out the Dub and Club Mix. The Dub Mix clocks in at a minute shorter and focuses on the groove, all dramatic strings and filter action. The Club Mix meanwhile ups the tempo and aims straight for the dancefloor with its beefed-up-beats and punchy percussion.

Welcome to the 4th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic from Athens-based Christos Antoniou AKA @christosda-afro, who, having spent three straight years in the Traxsource Top 100 Nu-Disco & Disco Artists, is without question a proven and prolific producer.

Blending Latin flavours, a kicking disco beat and more Carnival flavour than you could shake a maraca at, ‘Amigos’ is a beautifully produced disco jam.

@BenSpaldingOfficial launched this unstoppable record label in May 2020, the first release from B4CK TO L1FE soared to a No.1 as did the second release from FunkeeSounds (@funkygroovysounds). The third label release from Boogietraxx (@Boogietraxxatx) then hit No.5 in the Traxsource Soul/Funk/Disco chart and then hit a No.1 on Juno Download. 

The fifth release on the label sees a return to @PuzzleProjectsMusic for B4CK TO L1FE who brings a three-track EP packed full of killer disco.

The EP from Spanish producer kicks off with the title track 'Scenes' (PPM0008). With a walking bassline, a striding female vocal and some seriously cool filter action, it sounds like a long-lost Daft Punk B-side. Which really is all the info you need before you hit stream/buy. 

B4CK TO L1FE then drops the aptly titled 'The One' (PPM009), With its low-slung bass, hi-energy 80s percussion and fizzing Chic-style guitars, it's a disco strutting anthem-in-the-making. 

The three-track EP closes 'When You Can' (PPM0010), a block-rocking party joint that recalls hazy 90s raves and classic Soul II Soul vibes. The killer broken-beat intro brilliantly tees up the bassline which would have made Prince go weak at the knees.

@RonaldChristoph returns to @PuzzleProjectsMusic after the triumphant, rave-inspired Ego Death EP with label boss @BenSpaldingOfficial. This time the renowned Berlin-based musician and producer teams up with @Steve-Cole to deadly effect. The producers each bring years of deep knowledge and experience to their studio exploits: Ronald a stalwart of the Berlin scene and Steve a long-serving member of the techno beat community in his native Switzerland. 

‘Fade News’ (PPM0030) lures us into a long dark tunnel. As the murky bassline throbs and pulsates, we encounter increasingly rousing energy, Cole and Christoph adding layers of percussion and tweaking the arrangement to up the ante. Intermittent rave stabs rise in prominence, taking centre stage and providing a razor-sharp juxtaposition to the bulbous low end. 

On the flip, 'Shadows' (PPM0031) keeps it on the darkside - this time with a potent, oscillating b-line that will send shockwaves through the dance floor. Here, Cole and Christoph dial up the intensity with precision, peppering the track with vocal stabs, and a menagerie of layers and effects to cultivate depth and feeling. The atmosphere is mysterious and seductive, keeping you dancing right until the end.

@Steve-Cole and @RonaldChristoph demonstrate their prowess on this two-tracker, crafting high-calibre eyes-down techno with panache.

And he’s gone back to basics on ‘Love Will Let You Know,’ creating a prime-time disco edit that brilliantly refreshes a disco classic in devastating fashion.

Jacky Mal’s debut release on the label looks like being another big hitter for the fast-growing label.

Welcome to the 8th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic mixed by Parisian producer Sébastien Mainville AKA @FunkeeSoundsMusic.

After a stellar 2020 for PuzzleProjectsMusic since launching, they continue at pace as @FunkeeSoundsMusic returns for another release with ‘Waves of the Time’ (PPM0014). 

If you wanted the dictionary definition of feel-good disco, it’s this tune, as the French producer weaves his magic on his own home-grown material, riffs and hooks. 

Summery and full of sunshine beats, it’s the perfect blend between disco’s roots and the nu-disco sound of producers like Miguel Campbell. Add in plenty of cowbell, some on-trend brass, duelling synth lines and a cool female vocal that draws you in, and you have a sure-fire winner. 

Then again, @FunkeeSoundsMusic has an excellent track record having excelled on his previous PPM outing ‘In The Mood’ which stormed to the @Juno-Download N°1 spot, the @Traxsource N°9 spot in the Funk/Soul/Disco Charts & the N°2 on the Hypeedit Disco Charts. 

FunkeeSounds really does live up to his name with another groover that’s destined for more dancefloor success.

PuzzleProjectsMusic continues to impress, as label head @BenSpaldingOfficial selects another firing release to bolster the label’s diverse reputation. 

On this latest two-tracker @FernandoAcreMusic takes charge, flexing his production prowess with a couple of dark, groovy tech house rollers. Fernando is an artist on the rise, joining the @PuzzleProjectsMusic roster as a relative unknown but hungry, determined and naturally talented. 

His productions are polished, displaying a maturity beyond his years and a keen ear for rhythm and atmosphere to keep the dance floor locked in a groove. Dan Ros is also from Mexico, a friend of Fernando who is also a formidable force in the country’s electronic music scene. Together they’re an awesome duo.

Both producers are firmly rooted in the tech-house style, no-nonsense, growling and minimal yet funky. Tracks that work both during a warm-up and at peak time, depending on how you work them. It’s music for the heads down party crew, designed to pump the dance floor with energy and put an approving grimace on your face.

The ‘Trippin’ EP kicks off with the title track ‘Trippin’ (PPM0015); contagious drum programming works in tandem with a groaning bassline. It strikes the perfect balance between bouncy and moody, an electrified vocal dropping in intermittently to utter the track’s title “Trippin”. Fernando keeps the energy high, incorporating a bombastic breakdown, which is sure to send the dance floor into pandemonium.

Next up is ‘Isolated’ (PPM0016) which sees Fernando and Dan Ros team up for a techy trip into the darkside. This one has all the ingredients of a surefire club smash; dense rolling bass, a vibrant range of vocal clips and ultra-clean percussion. Like ‘Trippin’, this cut has a serious breakdown that’s guaranteed to ignite the floor.

Label boss @BenSpaldingOfficial curates another killer release on @PuzzleProjectsMusic, this time welcoming Berlin-based powerhouse Gavio. The talented Spanish producer has been building a sterling reputation during his time in the German capital, spinning at renowned venues like Tresor, Sisyphos, Kit Kat and Ritterbutzke, while also cultivating an impressive back catalogue of releases.

Gavio’s signature sound fuses soul and funk influences with a raw underground energy, juxtaposing soulful elements with punchy beats and groovy bass. It’s deep, yet energetic, providing the dance floor with the perfect blend of ingredients to get it moving and shaking, all while keeping it emotionally charged and nourishing for the soul.

The ‘Between You & Me’ EP kicks off with ‘Ask Me About the Future’ (PPM0018) with solid beats pumping the track along and a seriously groove-heavy low end. Jazzy keys soon enter the fray, complementing the heavyweight bass and we’re soon entering deep house heaven. Gavio builds the track with a layer of dramatic neon synth stabs, before we enter a killer breakdown and a funk-laden second half. 

Next up is ‘Frivolous Gathering’ PPM0019, which also combines complementary soulful and jazzy elements with crisp 4x4 beats and dynamite percussion. Gavio’s deep knowledge of house music is evident here as he takes a considered approach to production, incorporating familiar cues and instrumentation in his own unique way. This cut rolls out with sublime, mesmerising progression. There’s a brief moment where the energy drops, before Gavio ups the ante for a thrilling finale.

This time around we have a two-tracker from San Francisco-based Brit, @LeBantMusic. The talented producer has been quietly working on music and refining his skills for the best part of a decade, only now releasing it to the public. It’s a privilege for @PuzzleProjectsMusic to provide an outlet for LeBant and his synth-powered disco and sci-fi funk.

The EP begins with ‘Dream On’, a great intro to LeBant’s style, with the low end driven by a hypnotic disco rhythm. You’ll be hooked from the off and immersed in the interstellar atmospherics once it gets into its groove. LeBant’s ability to create a strong narrative and engrossing progression evident throughout this cut which features a superb sample in its second half. 

‘Rocking It’, is next up. This is a low-slung groover with retro electrified vocals which will transport the listener back to the genesis of electro music back in the early eighties - expect electric boogaloo and robotic moves on the dance floor when this is dropped. Welcome to the 13th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic.

Aimed squarely at the dance floor & with mastering by @Christian-Burkhardt & @JanDriver, the latest PuzzleProjectsMusic release comes in the form of a fully original debut release from label head - UK 🇬🇧 producer @BenSpaldingOfficial & @RonaldChristoph- the renowned German 🇩🇪 musician and producer.

The duo struck up a prolific partnership, with a number of tracks produced in just a few days of studio time. The creative chemistry led to a batch of cuts that project visceral energy, designed to get people moving. With particular attention given to the sound design, these tunes are ideal for massive rigs. These are weapons-grade rave tracks full of dynamism and energy lingering between Acid House & Detroit Techno.

First up is 'Thumper' (PPM0022) which lets us know exactly what this release is all about - the rave. As the title suggests this one stomps all over the dance floor, early rave influences pulsate through its bloodstream, with a slammin' bassline, adding in a streetwise vocal sample and inject riotous energy with an unusual, yet highly effective breakdown. 

Next up is 'Burning It Down' (PPM0023), which ensnares you from the off with its alluring bassline. A sensual, acid-flecked cut, 'Burning It Down' features two distinct vocals, one male and one female, both describing a 'dance floor made of matches'. Later, the male voice narrates a late-night tale, as old school piano keys pepper the background. It's a wildly infectious start to the release with persuasive energy and rhythmic arrangement designed to put you into a state of musical hypnosis.

Ben Spalding and Ronald Christoph have cultivated a fruitful relationship in the studio, combining their respective experience and creativity to produce absolute dynamite. They have bonded with each other to maximum effect and blending their best ideas to create truly unique original grooves. Straight-up club vibes for diehard ravers. 

Expect big things to come from this pair in the coming years.

Welcome to the 13th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic.

Aimed squarely at the dance floor & with mastering by @Christian-Burkhardt & @JanDriver, the latest PuzzleProjectsMusic release comes in the form of a fully original debut release from label head - UK 🇬🇧 producer @BenSpaldingOfficial & @RonaldChristoph- the renowned German 🇩🇪 musician and producer.

The duo struck up a prolific partnership, with a number of tracks produced in just a few days of studio time. The creative chemistry led to a batch of cuts that project visceral energy, designed to get people moving. With particular attention given to the sound design, these tunes are ideal for massive rigs. These are weapons-grade rave tracks full of dynamism and energy lingering between Acid House & Detroit Techno.

First up is 'Thumper' (PPM0022) which lets us know exactly what this release is all about - the rave. As the title suggests this one stomps all over the dance floor, early rave influences pulsate through its bloodstream, with a slammin' bassline, adding in a streetwise vocal sample and inject riotous energy with an unusual, yet highly effective breakdown. 

Next up is 'Burning It Down' (PPM0023), which ensnares you from the off with its alluring bassline. A sensual, acid-flecked cut, 'Burning It Down' features two distinct vocals, one male and one female, both describing a 'dance floor made of matches'. Later, the male voice narrates a late-night tale, as old school piano keys pepper the background. It's a wildly infectious start to the release with persuasive energy and rhythmic arrangement designed to put you into a state of musical hypnosis.

Ben Spalding and Ronald Christoph have cultivated a fruitful relationship in the studio, combining their respective experience and creativity to produce absolute dynamite. They have bonded with each other to maximum effect and blending their best ideas to create truly unique original grooves. Straight-up club vibes for diehard ravers. 

Expect big things to come from this pair in the coming years.
