This is a very special release. It is in memory of Rafał (Redirect) who sadly passed away in summer 2019. He was an outstanding and unique-sounding artist. In our fast-paced-newsfeed age, a lot of today's music lacks of typical artists-trademark. The music of Redirect was and is always sticking out and the listener knows it is a track by him.
One of his last unreleased tunes is "Instant Cutoff" and was signed by Perkussiv back in February 2016. This tune perfectly represents the style of Redirect: Phaser-driven and counter-playing leads with a straight forward, dancefloor-orientated beat, combined with a very short syncopated bass supporting the unique drive of this masterpiece. Redirect did not make any compromise - as usual - by pin pointing the main idea and that's that. The slightly melancholic typical overall-atmosphere of Redirect's music is perfectly represented in "Instant Cutoff".

As this release is called "We Salute You", Techno-DnB legends joined forces for a final salute to Rafał: Yabol, Amex, Dyslexia, Proton Kid and Section 63.
They remixed "Instant Cutoff" in their own individual style, in order to give Rafał the last tribute he truly deserves. A heavy-hearted good bye. A salute from the pier, standing strong together, witnessing the ship leaving the harbour, with Rafał's spirit and soul on board.

We wanna thank you, dear Rafał, that you were part of Perkussiv Music and this small Techno-DnB scene. You were a true artist, driven by passion. May you rest in peace. May God protect your soul and take care of your family and friends.

As this release would not be special enough, it is also worth to mention that Perkussiv is celebrating its 10 years anniversary exactly on the release date (February 22nd 2020), plus it is a personal gift to Amex himself, as this is also his birthday.

Finally we wanna thank every single fan all over the globe, who is still supporting us and the true deep-hearted music Perkussiv tries to release. Every purchase you do is going straight back to the label and helps us doing this.

Dyslexia is a Russian duo (Ruslan and Anton) whose love of technoid and techno influences brought them together in 2015. They draw their inspiration and ideas from founders of the genre such as Kemal, Rob Data, Raiden & Proket, starting out with a release on Free BPM which generated a wide and organic interest among listeners and colleagues. 

For the last five years, the duo has managed to release their tracks on such well respected labels as Algorythm, Perkussiv Music, Future Sickness, Free BPM Organization, TAM, T3K, Harder & Louder, Subdivide and KRYTIKA Productions. Earlier in this year of our misery, Dyslexia approach Therapy Sessions with some of their sounds and we were truly blown away…next level dark technoid, relentless, chunky beats coalescing with quirky stabs and offkey bleeps. We look forward to bringing Dyslexia into the Therapy Sessions Family and hope to have them grace a few stages when we are all set free...

BLACKLIST
A slinky little percussive roller with a bassline that bubbles along like the contents of a witch's cauldron and menacingly gains power as more evil ingredients are added. 

ALWAYS PAIN
An intro that reminds me of teeth chattering that makes way for a disjointed robotic voice and some hard-hitting drums to lead you into the hard-as-frozen-nails stomp of a drop! Techy bleeps and crackles hint at the impending technological breakdown headed your way as you frantically race through hallway after hallway of flickering red emergency lights, wondering how you ever got "here", where is "here"...?

SAVE YOUR MIND
An unsettling atmos drone sets the scene before the kicks come...and boy do they come. Thundering along like a stampede of wild horses this track hypnotises as it pulverises. Alien animal sounds surround, dying computers scream their last and you just can't shake the feeling of being chased by a sentient evil.

VALIDOL
A chunky and funky roller with a lot of attitude, a lot of bounce and plenty of grit. Bleeps and whomps talk to each other in a coded language as we voyeurs vicariously dance the night away in the shadows to the relentless thump of the kick drum.

2021 - The year of transformation. Life forces us to bethink of what is essential. Back to start. Back to the core principles of trueness. 
Perkussiv is turning 11 years on February 22nd which marks another milestone in the label's release biography: Pylon - Dataism EP. This title reflects the Zeitgeist of our age: Absolute insanity of data-dependency. Influenza-influenced Influencers selling their inner wackiness, loneliness and heavy personal neurosis as lifestyle and the 'shit to go after'. Big Data, Google, Amazon and Big Tech selling stuff "as seen in your dreams".
Pylon aka Łukasz is part of the Perkussiv family since the very beginning in 2010. He was and is still loyal to the vibe and vision to what Perkussiv tries to deliver: True-deep hearted Techno-DnB. Fuck the fame. Fuck the mainstream. Also for Perkussiv, 2021 is a reminder and recalibration to stick to this vision statement. It is about the love and the idea.

With 'Orkan' as the first tune, Pylon showcases his brilliant talent to pinpoint a heavy techno-vibe in a Drum and Bass context, without any compromise. Orkan perfectly demonstrated Łukasz' relentless idea of Techno-DnB.
On the B-Side Pylon teamed up with Stonerice and produced an equally hard-line Techno-DnB tasty chick: Hypnotising vocal support and somewhat of a 'classic' reversed techno-lead-stab. No big discussions, straight to the point. Move your ass.
We all know Section 63's production skills and his brutal ability to remix tunes. On the C-side he took the basic ideas of 'Into Your Mind' and created a perfect remix with the typical 'UK'-pounding, fluffy and fast beats, crazy bass-work, wrapped in the same hypnotising vibe as the original mix by Pylon and Stonerice.
On the D-Side, you can listen to one of the rare collaborations of Amex and Pylon: Mass Market. Typical Amex' trademark pads with a special tonality, yet focussing on the dance-floor - as usual. 
The most distinctive theme of this tune are Pylon's trademark reverse lead-stabs which are morphing to a Amex' influenced melodic pad.
As the last tune of this EP we also welcome Roominsky. He teamed up with Łukasz in 'Shkadov Thruster'. We can notice a more classic beat with a metallic snare, but yet fast-forwarding. Auror-heavy bleeps and leads are pretty much dominating this great work of pure Techno-DnB.

Perkussiv truly appreciates Pylon's contribution over the years, from the bottom of the heart. He is still one of the rare Techno-DnB legends we all love. Thank you!
