Wreckless continues to impress with the 'Low Light EP', six tracks of richly textured, progressive drum and bass that capture the introspective nature of this talented producer while maintaining serious dancefloor appeal. 

From the garage vocal chop-inspired 'Best Kept Secrets' to the experimental 17/16 time signature of 'Seventeen Heads' Wreckless demonstrates his varied influences throughout. Taking in rolling breaks on 'Eclipse Sequence', granular processing on 'H2O' and inspiration from recent DJ performances in Dalston on 'Hexagon', this EP is a surefire hit for fans of Wreckless. 

The title track, 'Low Light,' speaks of winter mornings, leaving warehouse clubs in the cold dead of night on a track inspired by science fiction, industrial landscapes and alternative grooves. Essential listening.

Blade is known for his explosive heavy amen rollers and captivating Jazz & Soul-infused beats. For the next instalment of the Dispatch Dubplate series this talented producer demonstrates his ability to fuse these contrasting influences with his love for the heritage sound of jungle drum and bass. 

True to the ethos of the Dispatch Dubplate sub-label, this release is built around another in-demand dubplate, with ‘Machete' forming the basis of this EP. A track that stood out in Ant TC1's post-COVID US tour with Doc Scott, the early Vedas master version caused maximum dancefloor impact with its classic AWOL era sound and raw lashy amen feel at 170bpm+. 

Across 5 further tracks Blade digs deep and delivers another homage to the world of contemporary breakbeat.

Dispatch veterans NC-17 and Philth developed a bond during back-to-back sets at Outlook Festival and Dispatch Recordings parties across the UK. Sharing a nostalgia for the classic era of tech drum and bass, their spontaneous quick mixes and upfront selections gelled. This quickly developed into a creative partnership that aimed to replicate that same energy with new productions inspired by the golden-era tracks they still play in every set. 

Combined with a love of cinema and gritty, raw funk-driven rollers, the pair quickly found themselves in a prolific creative flow that gave birth to the 'Last of a Dying Breed' EP series. The first volume of productions from this period forms a statement of intent, with each track delivering heavy impact with huge dance floor appeal.
