With Anunnaki Burial Chambers EP, THEGOD01 lands on SMUTA delivering a fierce, ritualistic techno journey shaped by ancient mythologies and paleoastronautic narratives. The three tracks (Anunnaki Burial Chambers, Enki’s Temple, Black Throne of Nergal and Gates of Kur) explore dense sonic textures and relentless rhythms, evoking long-lost civilizations, buried chambers, and the lingering presence of non-human intelligences.

Each track stands as a cryptic chapter part ritual, part excavation that is immersing the listener in a world where techno becomes a vehicle for decoding forgotten knowledge and unlocking the codes of the past.

Based in Paris, Maemm builds her sets as immersive journeys, where hypnotic techno blends with ambient textures and subtle psychedelic shades. Her deep curiosity and constant search for new sounds shape a musical identity in perpetual evolution.

She has performed alongside renowned artists and played in respected venues, including the legendary Berghain.

In 2021, she co-founded La Taquinerie, a collective dedicated to ambient and downtempo experiences, merging video art and poetry. For two years, the collective held a residency at La Gare / Le Gore, curating Thursday nights with a singular artistic vision.

This episode continues VARIA’s mission: championing considered electronic expression and lasting artistry.

Probably my deepest track yet titled ‘Polarity’ released as part of Inguma Records 5 Years VA. Available on limited cassette + digital on bandcamp + t-shirt merch.

It reflects heavily on today’s scenarios, polarising views, polarising emotions, uncertain futures, but there is a hint of hope still flickering in the darkness. Like the moment when light appears from behind a storm cloud.

I love the artwork for this, it reminds me to lean into the things that give us hope or keep us together. Even when there is a lot of evil.

His love for hypnotic patterns and restless grooves drove him into the depths of techno production. As an artist with a drum and bass background you can still hear and feel the closeness to his roots. Techno with the little pinch of oldschool aesthetic fused together into a refreshing whole.

Messages From Concrete Lady - Ecky

Sound designer/producer & Live performer, Worg is based in Rome and founded his imprint "Lykos Records" at the end of the 'Anno Urbis MMXVIII'. Amongst highlights, Worg played Tresor in 2019 and has focused in recent months on his freshly released Ep 'La Cena delle ceneri' on Circular Limited. It's with much pleasure we're welcoming him with a Live session that he recorded for the occasion, therefore giving us a deeper insight into his work process.
 
Worg's musical range extends from experimental through slight accents of industrial, to approaching deep techno. He shows special attention for textures and persistent rhythms; you'll hear smooth pads and distortions, -drones, -hypnotic melodies & some metallic discordance; those various sounds merging both Live or in his studio productions, to create complex and distinct sonorities. It's those heterogeneous elements that give life to his body of work, enveloped in a sonic gloomy haze, to accompany the audience into a voyage of "spectral soundscapes & fantasies, located in dystopian places" of his imagination.
