2015 has @Ambassadeurs extremely busy with a slew of EPs and his debut album – “Patterns” released on Lost Tribe Records.

Now back in the studio recording his second album, Mark is dropping this EP in the interim to keep the fans sweet. He wrote these tracks during an escape in the autumn from the city to the countryside. The change of scenery from concrete to wilderness is reflected in the more organic sounds on this 4 tracker, which was written with the bare minimum of equipment to hand, even sampling some old cassettes that were left behind in the cottage where he was staying.

So while a simpler and more stripped back approach was adopted on this EP, it’s still distinctively his sound neatly executed to see a great year out.

Riotvan no. 10 – what a nice jubilee! And a perfect catalogue number to take a look at our back catalogue up to now and at the same time look ahead at the things we might cast in vinyl at some point in the future. Riotvan isn’t just a reflection, but also an inherent part and impulse in the electronic music scene of Leipzig. Gathering the inner circle of the Riotvan cosmos on one record for the first time, thus, seemed like a very logical step.

So RVN010 is the first so-called Various Artists in our roster. At the same time it marks the beginning of a new series, which will regularly lead our close and new friends on the field from now on.

This issue features: Good Guy Mikesh, who buffs up tapered sound sequences into the little slo house gem “Sparkles”. This is also the first new track on Mikesh’s release account ever since his EP “Year of The Horse”, which came out on Riotvan as well.
Then there is the hyper-dynamic “Marque Di Yard” by routine sidestepper Panthera Krause, which ogles with broken beats and should whet the appetite for his second Riotvan EP, due to be released soon. With “Perlenkette”, Filburt drops his first solo work in the label history – a tenderly whispered track from alien spheres with hit potential not to be underestimated.
Afterwards, Jennifer Touch, who recently released a project with Keinemusik’s own Adam Port on Pets Recordings, returns to her solo roots, delivering sleepwalking synth pop melancholia. Here, too, a new artist EP on Riotvan is in the making. If there’s one label which can be ascribed a certain like-mindedness towards Riotvan, it’s undoubtedly Permanent Vacation. Therefore, their puppet master Benjamin Fröhlich rounds up this compilation with “Star Fox”, which steers a middle course between direct and self-forgotten house bounce. Finally, on “Walking In Melbourne” Llewellyn plays out those house sketches which might be a bit too stringent for his alter ego Lake People, obviously not without infusing a fathomless deepness to its floor aptitude.

Early last year we played at the small but perfectly formed, Oma Doris club in Dortmund. One of the residents that night was a young DJ by the name of Mr Fries, who during the night handed us a CD of demos.

Immediately impressed with what we heard, the idea of an EP was formed. 
Nearly a year later we are proud to present the newest member of the pack!

First up on remix duties is Hodini whose recent EP on Max Graef and Glenn Astro, Money $ex Records has been on constant rotation since it's release.

Hodini is an alias of prolific German Hip-Hop producer, Hulk Hodn and a major influence on Mr Fries who has sighted he was one of reason he was one of the main reasons he started to make beats.

To round of the EP we've enrolled long time friend Garth BE. The artist featured previously on WOLFEP003 back in 2009 with All The Thrills. Since then he has setup the fantastic Sweet Sticky Records, releasing two full length LPs to great acclaim.

Lydmor & Bon Homme - the duo of Tomas Høffding and Jenny Rossander - are to release the third single from their exceptional debut LP.

‘Combining their powers like the Wonder Twins they have elevated the pop game with a touch of darkness, a smidgen of sass, and a whole lot of sex appeal’. (Nordic Spotlight) and now Tomas, (singer and bassist of Danish electronic pop trio WhoMadeWho) and Jenny (singer/ songwriter/ rising star) offer up ‘Missed Out On Disco’, a haunting piece of electronic pop presented here in four versions.

The original, which also appears on their album Seven Dreams of Fire, sees Lydmor and Bon Homme exchange vocals over a synth groove that echoes early 80s New Wave artists - a wistful, moving, modern pop classic.

Belgian electronic artist Pole Folder (Benoit Franquet) and Slovakia’s Just Hear team up on a killer remix which stretches the track out over seven and a half minutes and explores an even more emotional landscape. Jenny’s ethereal vocals are brought to the fore and swathes of melancholia are added through spacey pads and a stripped down, acid-tinged production.

Both the remix and original are also here in their instrumental versions, and draw attention to the amazing sound design and production Lydmor & Bon Homme are rightly celebrated for.

This musical tale starts with the unmistakable "Remember back when".. As it's name suggests, it might be an ideal flashback track, bringing back a warm and stained 90's vibe.
However, Tony is the master of evoking both the familiar and exploring the unknown, feeding your sense nostalgia while simultaneously inspiring visions of a hopeful future
As always, it's a perfect balance between dreamscape and reality as that irresistible groove deserves a very physical reaction, the urge to dance while it slowly brings out your inner-child.

"There's no future in the past" continues in a more ear-catching way thanks to his perfect straightforward arpeggio constantly pushing you combined with a round, dry and heavy bass quickly elevating the track to it's cruise altitude. "Together" brings your imagination back on track. Probably more abstract and hypnotic nonetheless it's power will be all the stronger.  It feels like a wonderful 6 minutes playground experience, high in the sky, a representational, half-conscious musical trip that makes your mind wonder.

Well you are obviously running a record label. This is what Johannes Albert does since 5 fun years and 20 releases. Releasing his own music on vinyl but also his mates stuff.
