On the eve of the release of their magnificent second album Ores & Minerals, Jack from Mazes has sent us this mix. 
Says Jack: 
"I did a podcast to sit alongside the new record. We got hooked on podcasts touring in 2011... Marc Maron's WTF Podcast, Duncan Trussell and Brody Stephens. I think a lot of the most interesting performance happening nowadays is in the world of podcasts... I was going to do this and talk between the songs but lost the nerve. Regardless it's fun doing these things and enjoyable to turn people on to new things if they like the band... Looking at this, I can't imagine there's many unfamiliar names though. I don't know whether these songs have been particularly influential on this record but just on life in general. 
Listening back the David Hemmings song is a little heavy going...try and get through that and it's plain sailing. We hope you enjoy it and a big hello to Isabel from Yellow Fever"
