"Slave To Society (ex AnD) returns to Natural Selection with a white-hot experimental techno EP, accompanied by an IDM-infused remix from industrial electronica duo; Somatic Responses.

After a decade of redefining techno dance floors as AnD, Andrew Bowen returned to his experimental, hardware-focussed roots as Slave To Society in October 2019. Since then he has seen his music released by highly revered institutions in the world of hard techno, noise, breakcore, IDM and industrial electronica, such as PRSPCT, Pure Hate, Ohm Resistance and BANK Records NYC. Following on from his remix of Kamikaze Space Programme’s ‘Dust To Dust’, released on Natural Selection in 2022, Slave To Society releases his first full EP for the London based imprint. ‘Ai Invasion’ releases in April and takes up the torch from Versalife and Rommek, whose prior releases via Natural Selection saw support from the likes of Dave Clarke, Tommy Four Seven, Takaaki Itoh, The Advent, Annie Hall, Alienata and more.

‘Ai Invasion’ is a sonic exploration of the symbiotic relationship between humanity and technology. Slave To Society uses carefully designed futuristic soundscapes and atmospheric textures, layered with AI generated vocals, combined with heavy and fiercely unpredictable drum elements. Expect advanced, experimental hard techno and noise, fused with powerful low-end muscle, raging hi-hats, fragmented percussion and augmented amens. In true Slave To Society fashion, all rules and boundaries are smashed to pieces and all tracks are equally suitable for blasting through the world’s biggest club systems and rigs as they are for home listening.

The release also features a razor sharp and well-placed remix of track B1 - ‘Robot Dementia’, courtesy of legendary hard industrial electronica duo; Somatic Responses.

‘Ai Invasion’ comes in the form of a complete multimedia project and features an immersive digital video which will be screened, exhibited and premiered as part of the release. Available to purchase and download as an NFT, the video challenges viewers to question the impact of artificial intelligence on our society and the implications of our relentless pursuit of technological advancement."

In a world where every word holds consequences and every silence bears weight, the latter cannot be a privilege. As the world witnesses the horrors of war and its devastating impact on innocent lives, it's imperative to raise our voices against injustice wherever it occurs. It is our duty, especially being artists, to raise consciousness and awareness, challenge norms and narratives. 

We cannot allow ourselves to overlook the ongoing crisis in Palestine. This is not merely a matter of political stance; it's a test of our humanity. If we fail to speak out against the slaughter of innocent people and the genocide unfolding in Palestine, we fail on fundamental levels of compassion and justice. 

It's not about political affiliations; it's about standing on the righteous side and feeling the pulse of what's truly just. 

With the power of technology, we are constantly connected to the realities of conflict, yet to stay silence in the face of such atrocities is deadly. 

For that reason we brought 61 artists together to break this silence and stand in solidarity with Palestine, especially the innocent children. 

In the haunting echoes of silence, where cries for help are drowned by the thunder of war, our music becomes a beacon of hope, piercing through the darkness to remind the world of its humanity. 

Each beat, each note is a testament to resilience, a defiance against the oppressors, a symphony of solidarity resonating across borders. 

In the tapestry of chaos, our voices rise like a crescendo, demanding justice, demanding freedom and peace, demanding that the world listen and act. 

Techno, Noise, EBM, punk, and experimental music—genres rooted in the ethos of creating alternate societies and challenging terrestrial limitations—have always championed freedom of expression. Yet, the contemporary landscape feels tainted by commodification, censorship, and the silencing of marginalized voices. This betrayal of the essence cannot be tolerated. 

Our music is a rebellion, a revolution of sound, breaking chains of apathy and indifference, igniting flames of empathy and action.We are not just musicians; we are storytellers of the silenced, architects of dreams, weaving melodies of resistance and resilience. 

Solidarity must be a foundational principle within our (sub-)culture. True freedom can only be achieved when all are liberated. Music, as a universal language, transcends boundaries and reminds us that every life is sacred.

We're thrilled to announce our upcoming charity project, VA 002 compilation, dedicated to supporting Palestinian children relief and medical aid. This initiative brings together 61 unique tracks from a diverse range of artists. Each track serves as a powerful statement, amplifying the voices of the oppressed and advocating for a meaningful cause. 

Through the universal language of music, our compilation project aims to raise awareness and provide vital support to Palestinian children in need. By featuring such a broad spectrum of artists and musical styles, we hope to engage a wide audience and inspire action towards positive change.

Zen Bromley established Revok Records and the Dark Ravers brand in 2018, to create an inclusive space for fans of dark techno in all its forms from raw and unrelenting hard industrial techno to atmospheric, ambient, and hypnotic techno. 
His own studio productions and remixes cover a wide range of those styles and have been played and lauded by his peers such as Ancient Methods, David Asko, Paula Temple, SNTS and many others.
He is also one half of Acid Replika, a vocal led industrial techno act with whom he performs live.
