St. Lucia, the acclaimed musical project led by husband-and-wife duo Jean-Philip Grobler and Patti Beranek, spent about five years making their fifth studio album, ‘Fata Morgana: Dawn.’ The word “epic” has been used a lot to describe the psychedelic pop group’s music, but it may be more apt now than ever. “Pie in the Sky,” for instance, borrows more from the big ‘70s sounds of ELO, Earth, Wind & Fire, and David Bowie than the ‘80s pop the band is usually associated with, according to Grobler.
