Pyoot is a versatile recording and performing artist who has proven he can adapt to any genre or era in Rap music. His Indigenous background traces back to the Moberly Lake BC Saulteau First Nations Cree, but growing up listening to rap in the late 1980’s in Victoria BC, he quickly became a fan and student of such acts as Public Enemy, Ice T, 2LiveCrew and NWA. He started writing his own music in the early 90s, and has been a leader in the local hip-hop community ever since. 1/3 of the Rap crew ‘Vic Vets’ and an active member and loyal Brother of the Stressed Street Lifestyle Club, Passport P will be Pyoot’s debut solo album. Previous releases ‘Vic Vets - Veterans Day’, and ‘Pyoot & Mayhem- Till We Meet Again’ are local classics and have laid the groundwork necessary to complete this expansive project. While he has opened for such acts as Xzibit, Heavy Metal Kings, MadChild, Tech9, and The Dogg Pound, Pyoot’s performance background stems back to his days of battle rap and cyphers.
