Addex is a highly respected and in demand producer and is no stranger to the music industry. With over 400 productions under his belt on such great labels as Plastic City, i Records, Loco Records, Proton Music, Spring Tube, Aenaria and our very own Ready Mix, he has remixed for artists such as John Dahlback, John Creamer & Stephane K., Marvin Zeyss, Terry Lee Brown Jr., Greg Parker, Hakan Lidbo, Onionz, Evren Ulusoy, Da Funk and Forteba to name just a few.
 
Reshape (LP) is a reflection of where Addex is at today. He has worked on the album for over a year and collaborated with Ilias Katelanos on a couple of tracks to come up with a sensual, emotional and superbly written array of songs. Their maturity and evocative mood forms the vibe in this well-conceived, well executed and brilliantly well produced Album. From the intensely dubby atmospheres of ”Envision” to the raw sounds of “Dragons With No Fear” and “Pressure Drop” to the profoundly deep tracks such as “Strong Devotion” and “Hope And Sorrow” to the peaceful ambience of “The Shift”. Addex delivers the goods with style and grace.

You can expect on this album all the signature elements that Addex is well known and loved for. From Deep pads, heavenly melodies, dubby chords to hefty grooves, captivating vocals and heartfelt basslines, Addex offers mixed styles ranging from Deep, Ambient to Dub and Tech House with an undeniable Summer feel and sprinkles of love.

CDRMR010 : Addex - Till' The Sunrise (Original Mix)

Label regular, Alexander Matchak, returns with a classy three-tracker featuring remix support from Pornbugs and Leeni and Danilo Kupfernagel. The Moscow-based artist broke onto the scene in 2018 and has been a label favourite since 2021. Signed to a number of cool underground labels including DP-6 and Blessed, he also runs EXPmental Records. Opening with the swing of Desert Race. Funky hats and a wonderous bass get the party started in fine form. Intricate sonics and nuanced keys keep the track light and groovy for the early floors. House Blazer follows suit with a tougher vibe, rubbery bass and delicate keys. On remix duties, label heads, Pornbugs, keep the flovour of the original whilst injecting their infectious energy with some extra musical hooks. The third original takes a deeper turn. Snappy hats and a light percussive framework are married with a deep, growling bass and ebbing sonics. Eminently fresh and vibrant, Dubai Trip is a classy journey into modern deep house. On the remix, 3000Grad members, Leeni and Danilo Kupfernagel, turn out a dirty, vibey late night groovathon.

Deep Site Recordings welcomes Dee Mac with two wicked new originals as well as remixes. “Do Your Thing” is an infectious tune that uses a harmonious keyboard refrain coupled with tight rhythms and a solid bassline. The second original track, “Seduction”, takes a deeper path with its sublime melodics, cascading pads, and metrical rhythms. DJ Funky T’s Seranade Mix of “Do Your Thing” rearranges the samples while utilizing a new arrangement and recapitulation of the main melody. The Couch Bastards Remix takes a techier approach to the proceedings by developing upon reiterating phrasing motifs from the original on top of smooth cadences. Langenberg has been busy releasing his distinctive brand of knowledgeable deepness for well over half a decade now. As co-founder of the Essen-based label Mild Pitch, the man otherwise knows as Max Heesen has been responsible for some sublime moments in house, both on his own label, and for imprints such as Liebe*Detail, Drumpoet Community and Poker Flat.

Here, Desseous Recordings get their hands on the sumptuous release The Finisher. Informed and influenced by the classic Detroit sound, Langenberg produces yet another exceptional transmission. The title track is a smooth like liquid gold, yet contains a dub-tinged techno edge reminiscent of Langenberg’s Ribn project with Manuel Tur. The soulful piano interplay is pure Detroit meets Essen, and combines to produce one of the year’s standout moments.

Next up is Wait State, a bouncing groove featuring Langenberg’s trademark crisp drums and percussion, and a fantastic revolutionary vocal sample.

Sun and Sorrow is on a more driving tip, but maintains a familiar minor key motor city deepness. Also present here as a digital bonus is Sun and Sorrow Dub, an essential rework and a dub-wise dancefloor excursion for the heads.
