A year after releasing the “So Sprach Psychedelia” Remixes EP, brilliantly reworked by Rodion, Skelesys and Rambal Cochet, Thisbe Recordings´ Pyrame releases a second sequel of remixes from his EP “Electronica Melancholia”. 

 On board - and on target - to remix the title track “Electronica Melancholia”, two usual suspects of Thisbe: Volta Cab (“Alphabet of Humanity” (THISBE009), “Oseary Drakoulias” (THISBELTDX001)) and Philip Lawns (“Ten Years of Travel” (THISBE004)). Joining them for the occasion, a recent artist on the label, A-Tweed, who is half of Oblako Maranta, his collab with Radial Gaze and who recently released “Trance Beckenbauer” (THISBE015).

Midi Mode Records, a new chapter begins for the label formerly known as Mini Man Records. A home for the unmistakable energy of electro and techno grooves. The decision to rebrand to Midi Mode as a name came after the previously known label title was unexpectedly caught up in a weird trademark dispute. The label has adapted to survive and will provide tracks for true believers, made by true believers into the future. As the label unveils its upcoming releases, it starts with the "Fake Reality EP", a 5 tracker with Electro & Techno Funk, housing a collaboration with Human Rebellion & Power. Electro heads should already be very familiar with the unmistakable electro sonic sounds of Human Rebellion. Furthermore to this, a fusion with the stripped back Detroit electro sounds of Power means the senses are pushed to move in dark rooms with the fierce Techno cut of "I'm a Freak". All of this is combined with a haunting and unhinged remix from Nite Fleit that's mesmerising.

Extended bio: 
Physicist turned music and film Producer, Lausanne-born/Berlin-based Pyrame’s emergence into the electronic music scene is a story of wanderlust, dream catching and cosmic energy. A poet at heart, he takes the opportunity to create raw emotion through both his melodies and lyrics, when if you listen closely, are inspired by his endless adventures of the world around him. Combining elements of synth-pop, post-disco and progressive electronica, his DJ affair of building both his sound and his record label contains a touch of surrealism, heritage and fantasy, as his inspiration is pulled from the twists and turns of Greek Mythology. 

 

His label, appropriately named Thisbe Recordings, comes from the myth of “Pyramus and Thisbe” which are mostwell known as the couple of ill-fated lovers by the ancient poet Ovid. Thisbe is an amphitheater where the voices of house and techno are being heard. Founded in 2020, it has gathered pace over the last couple of years, with releases from Radial Gaze, Semodi, Philip Lawns, as well as the first compilation of the label, called Black Ink, featuring tracks by Acid Washed & Arnaud Rebotini, Seb El Zin, Commando Variété, Rambal Cochet, Mount Kismet and Danton Eeprom. 

 

After releasing his debut EP "A Fine Life" in 2019 and his second EP "The Pace of Everything that Lives" in 2020.  Pyrame released his third EP "Electronica Melancholia" in Fall 2022, dedicated to his newly-born son, a brand new source of inspiration, he says. Followed then a Remixes EP of his track "So Sprach Psychedelia" by high-profile electronic musicians Rodion, Skelesys and Rambal Cochet. 

In September 2023, Pyrame released "Senses High" , a 2-track EP featuring remixes by Andrew Claristidge, La Mverte, Theus Mago and 
Semodi.

In 2024, Pyrame will reveals several collaborations with artists he has been working with for a while.
