Cofondateur de Tétraèdre Records en janvier dernier, jeune label très actif qui compte déjà plusieurs sorties, The Aurem est aussi membre du collectif UBT qui évolue sur Angers.

La musique occupe depuis longtemps une place importante pour lui ;  il apprend le solfège, joue du trombone, avant de se pencher attentivement sur la musique électronique. Cette évolution traduit ses inspirations diverses, qu’il puise un peu partout, autant dans les bandes originales de films que dans des sources moins attendues et surprenantes, comme la musique emprunte de spiritualité qui résonne dans les églises. Cette recherche d’une réelle musicalité et cette attention du détail rejaillissent largement dans ses productions, très souvent travaillées de mélodies aériennes et éthérées.

Remember The Time We Used To Love Each Other s’ouvre ainsi sur des sonorités indus aux accents bruitistes, et évolue vers une composition riche et très dynamique. La profondeur des kicks s’accompagne d’un jeu harmonique hypnotique, presque lunaire, qui enveloppe l’ensemble de couleurs froides, conférant une réelle profondeur à ce morceau qui reste emprunt d’une mélancolie certaine.

Le morceau sortira sur Ecstasy State, un jeune label londonien, et sera disponible sur toutes les plateformes le 16 Août prochain.

In Suffering Inspires, The Aurem blends the dynamism of fast-paced drum arrangements with his taste for very inspired harmonies. A kind of elegiac piece of work that conveys the inner turmoils of the mind. The softness radiating from the pads shrouds the industrial violence of the drums with spleen, and the intoxicating melody plunges us into deep dreamy and poetic atmosphere.

6 months after their debut release, LABURNŪM Records returns with 'TORCH', a 17-track compilation featuring 20 of the most promising artists from London and beyond. This time the theme is "The Rave", throwing the listener into a galloping universe made of acid anthems, pick-time rollers and old-school ravey tools. They are launching their own Advent Calendar, with a new release every Friday up until New Year's Day. 'TORCH' offers a modern take on the 90s rave revival, just in time for an end of 2020 bedroom rave.
