The portal’s trans dimensional trajectory had shifted suddenly, shunting the woebegotten scientist instantaneously into the furthest reaches in uncharted space. Thanks only due to his rapid reflexes and unquestionable ability with the technology he wielded, the scientist has been able to save himself from a frigid death amidst the interstellar void, instead redirecting his course to the nearest solid planetary body.

It was there upon it's rocky surface he now stood, surrounded by a vast and barren nothingness steeped in beige and dust. Above him in the sky loomed the seething maw of the portal that had delivered him here, glowing red hot at its core thanks to the fission of atmospheric molecules that occurred constantly within it at its present altitude. Occasionally, the hairs on the scientist’s arms would stand vertically in salute to the electromagnetic charges generated by the swirling vortex, and yet amidst the strange atmosphere of this distant planetoid not a single sound could be heard. There he stood, LOST IN SILENCE, a castaway adrift at the furthest reaches of all creation.

AKOV returns to EATBRAIN with LOST IN SILENCE, the latest EP from neurofunk’s ursine overlord that stands set to send the EATBRAIN horde to the genre's furthest sonic reaches thanks to the depth of AKOV’s scientifically tuned sonics, which this time includes, metal – his very own band: AENYGMA -, breakbeat and even a hint of jazz.

Evolution Chamber has long been committed to fostering a collaborative platform. The strong bonds within their roster have played a pivotal role in propelling Evolution Chamber into the forefront of the drum & bass scene. Additionally, the label's consistent delivery of high-quality tracks over its five-year lifespan has solidified its reputation among its peers, release after release. Now, as they welcome a new wave of artists into their fold, starting with Skrimor, Evolution Chamber continues to uphold its dedication to innovation and excellence in the world of Drum & Bass.

The Polish-based Belarusian producer has already made an immediate mark since releasing his first-ever release in 2023 on NickBee's Axon Records. Since then, he has released on leading Neurofunk labels Neuropunk and Eatbrain, as well as remixed the likes of Jade, Teddy Killerz, and Gydra.

Following these successful releases and remixes, as well as his and his debut outing with "The Rave Feeling" on Transmissions Pt. 2, it's only fitting to see him take centre stage with his debut release on the label with 'Boogie Woogie/Club Girl,' a double A-side single that combines jump-up and mainstream Drum and Bass with his unique Neuro twist.

‘Boogie Woogie’ incorporates the steppy grooves of Neuro and weaves them into a Jump-Up tapestry, adhering to the high-production standards Skrimor brings to the table. With polished vocal edits driving the track, it navigates through hooks with finesse, demonstrating its value to the dancefloor. This presents a different yet enjoyable and serious aspect of his sound, showcasing Skrimor's versatility through the fusion of styles.

Both tracks mark a significant debut for Skrimor on Evolution Chamber, signalling the beginning of an exciting journey within the label. With more music already scheduled for the coming year, Skrimor is poised to be a prominent figure on the label and within the world of Drum & Bass in the years to come.

'From The Vaults' pays tribute to Renegade Hardware's 30-year legacy and lasting impact on the Drum and Bass scene. Each release in this series features standout remixes of classic tracks, offering a fresh perspective and modern twist on the label's iconic sound.

This third installment features four exceptional remixes that promise to captivate both long-time fans and new listeners. The EP kicks off with a powerful remix by Taelimb, delivering an innovative take on Chase & Status’ ‘Ten Tonne’. Next up, Kolectiv brings a high-energy rendition of Konflict’s ‘Maelstrom’, blending contemporary elements with the original's timeless essence. The third track sees Ben Kei pushing boundaries with a bold reinterpretation of Loxy & Dylan’s ‘Death March’, while the final track, remixed by Dushi, closes the EP with a dynamic and engaging version of Raiden’s classic, ‘Fallin’.

The fires of the NEUROPUNK FORGE alight once more with the arrival of the WARHEAD EP, the latest release from rising Russian duo DESPERSION on NEUROPUNK RECORDS. Established in 2017, the duo have seen previous releases on a variety of labels including Ignescent, 0101 and Kill Tomorrow, within which they have displayed their development of a style that blends complex melodic motifs with aggressive percussive and bassline sequences for a synthesis formed of these two often disparate sounds. Now making their NEUROPUNK RECORDS debut, DESPERSION deliver four tracks in this signature style to create the latest set of auditory weapons straight from the NEUROPUNK FORGE.

Opened by the minor chords and arpeggios of the title track of the same name, the WARHEAD EP quickly erupts with low end weight leavened by the interspersion of melodic reprisals of its opening theme. The deceptively named PEACE which follows provides a slice of scathing neurofunk marked by the tonalities of the distorted hornlike synth that blasts above its rapidly moving bassline. OFFENSIVE next delivers an explosive barrage of transient percussive impacts that fall with perfectly planned precision amongst the tracks chaotic upper atmosphere. Closing the EP is I NEED YOU NOW, which departs from the hard charging energy of its predecessors to deliver a flowing vocal cut emblematic of DESPERSION’s melodic abilities.

With the WARHEAD EP, DESPERSION deliver a dynamic debut on NEUROPUNK RECORDS, showing a deft ability to craft beautiful melodic sequences and works of utmost sonic aggression in equal measure, marking themselves as a duo to watch as they emerge from the NEUROPUNK FORGE.
