Psyche (Yaz Jam Entry Theme)

A Patreon request for a good friend spelled it out to me: the planned publish date of this upload is the 20th anniversary of the popular mid 2000s sci-fi shooter game known as Halo 2.

This arrangement does try to capture the original atmosphere, while trying to avoid the original synthesizers and samples used. In this case, everything heard is two instances of the korg wavestate native VST, with a crowd sample sampled from my 01R/W to top it off.

Finally uploading another piece here. This is a remix of a piece from the popular game Undertale. It was an extremely simple piece, so I ended up throwing in additional melodies in order to extend it, as well as rearranging to have a feel like a late 80s/early 90s horror soundtrack.

A cover version of music from a newer game I recently discovered and enjoyed. I was tempted to resort to my usual retro synth twist, but I decided in the end it would take away from the original intended mood, so I settled for a compromise by using various 90s ROMpler sounds for this arrangement.
