Three full years passed since his last album “All On My Own“ was released and anybody who believes that nothing was done in the meantime is clearly wrong. C-Black aka “The Shotgun Nesta“ has made good use of his time: He has grown with his music, his music has developed and he has finished his new album “Dark Desert“. And a lot more changed. New label, new beats and an album with international potential.
The title of his album was the result of a few oriental-flavoured instrumentals. But anyway, the album comes with a good & successful combination of Trap and Old School as well as Reggae & Dancehall.
Internationally known artists like dancehall legend Mr. Lexx (Kingston/Jamaica) and Deadly Hunta (London/UK), who is known for his D'n'B hit single “Ganja Man feat. Aphrodite“ will appear on C-Black’s album. Further feature-guests who will appear on “Dark Desert“ are Mr. Gikko (Austria), an english-flowing veteran in the Austrian Hip Hop scene, Johnny Juliano (Pittsburgh/USA) and Ikaya (Kingston/Jamaica), who took away the Stone Love Award for “Female Artiste of the Year” in 2010. Ikaya is also known for her hit singles ‘Fly Away’ by Don Corleon and ‘Ain’t Giving Up’ which both have been in the Top 5 of the European Reggae Charts for weeks.
Responsible for the production of the songs are C-Black himself, – he produced 15 of the in total 18 songs on “Dark Desert“ – Johnny Juliano – who has worked with artists like Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Nicki Minaj, French Montana and Rick Ross – and Willie B, who has worked with internationally acclaimed artists like Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q and Busta Rhymes.
The varied record will be released by Late Hour Records and it will be able for free download, as a so called ‘Thank You’ for the support he received over the last years. He also puts this as HIS sign for art: Art should be available for anybody and it should not matter if it’s optical or acoustic. With this album, C-Black proves that his music doesn‘t know any country borders. His music just needs two things: Talent & passion.
