Sadly this is only a recording of the decks half of our deck/fx/sampler set up but none the less it is rather fun. Newtown Festival happens yearly as a free daytime gig in Spring and is basically a park full of ferals and dogs on strings. It is awesome. There are many stages of music, stalls selling all manner of things, food, magic and dog poo everywhere. 2SER fm which Seb n I had our weekly radioshow on from 1995-2010 usually had a stall and a stage and this is our set there in 2006. Musically very diverse and the last 20 mins are my fave. There is a gap of about 60s in it. I think it was caused by the power to the stage dropping out for some reason (too much bass? heh heh)

Deep Reggae and heavy Dub: this month we present a show by Mark Ernestus with Tikiman on the mic. As the founder of the legendary Berlin based Hard Wax record store he laid the foundation for Berlin's electronic club music scene in 1989. As one half of Basic Channel (aka Maurizio), he gained international fame with a hybrid of Dub and Techno. As part of the duo Rhythm & Sound he refined this signature sound alongside a range of vocalists - most extensively Tikiman aka Paul St. Hilaire. For Carhartt WIP Radio they prepared a mix loaded with rare gems by Reggae legends such as Prince Jazzbo, Nitty Gritty, or Ken Boothe. Tune in and get absorbed by real weigthy bass pleasure!
