I had a vision to release an EP in a month. 
Not in a rush, just because I felt inspired in my journey and lately found passion to share raw feelings. 

All the tracks were written and recorded at Chilin’ Straße studio in Berlin over the last weeks, but the artwork was made as a sketch to another album during the previous winter. 

I would like to dedicate this album to my nephew who was born two weeks ago. 

Speaking of new music, in few days I’m going to drop another album called “Better now” which is a beautiful collaboration with Q3000. Stay tuned!

Q3000 (Bari, Italy) & J.Lamotta Suzume (Tel-Aviv, Israel)

Music as the healing force of life brought us together in Berlin.
We have the feeling that it wasn't a coincidence, maybe we know each other from else when.

The name "Better Now" was invented during a collaging session at Lamotta's place in which the album artwork was created.  

Q was spontaneously cutting letters from different magazines, glued the newly made words on the cover, and there we got a name.

It was only later when we realised that there is much more to it than we thought. It happened by experimenting with playing and being, and by trying to be present in every single moment.

Making music together led us to great insights, to acknowledging our inner transformations which are part of our friendships, joy and understanding.

With no rush, we're just saying... it is better facing the truth now.

Guess what? It's Dilla's bday again and I'm so excited to share with you my 4th edition of what turns out to be an annual tradition. As always, paying a tribute to Dilla is easy and fun but also challenging at the same time, because his music is so inspiring and my musings wake up with the first note being played, but the challenge lies exactly in the same spot: what can I possibly add to such rounded and soulful music? the conclusion is usually similar every single time; just play WITH Dilla, rather than use him. So every year just before this special day, I'm sitting in my room and he is there, showing me this cool drum sound he just sampled or this warm beat, and he's asking me: Lamotta, would you mind recording a verse over that? and so I did. Happy Birthday!
