Steyoyoke’s latest EP features smooth vocals by Canadian artist Terry Grant, including two originals by Soul Button, one by Soul Button and Aaryon, and a remix by Animal Picnic, forming a tear-jerking release. This ethereal techno blends moving melodies with dark lows and piercing highs.

‘Wraith’, by Soul Button, showcases distorted synths and Terry Grant’s reassuring vocals, adding warmth and identity. Soul Button’s technical finesse and Grant’s homely voice make this track a dreamy highlight.

‘Demise’, a tragically sweet track, pairs Terry Grant’s dark lyrics with his calm voice. The sharp kick and haunting chord progression evoke a lost love visiting in dreams, creating chills even on a sweaty dance floor.

Endless Music label boss Luca Olivotto steps up with Keep On, his stunning debut album twhich is set to kick off 2019 in style.
Italian Olivotto is a former resident of the esteemed Club Chalet in Berlin, and has made his label a fine outlet for independent and beautiful electronic sounds. Always making, playing and releasing music that is creative and original with real character, his productions and sets range from house to melodic techno but always with an air of experimentation.
The fantastic album features eleven melodically charged and ready to fire productions that flex their sonic muscles across a backdrop of deep techno, acid house and micro house. The whole thing was made on a Korg Prologue and a TR-08 and carries many usual traits of the Italian producer’s sound, from subtle nostalgia to a fresh contemporary snap.
It is the rumbling bass and spine tinglingly delicate synth work of deep roller ‘Satisfaction’ that opens things up with real meaning. The acid laced and expansive ‘Wheel of Fortune’ then brings broken drum rhythms and swiftly paced percussion. The excellent ‘Vienna’ is a dub techno epic, with vast rubber kicks and Detroit soul in the synths that really get you on your toes, while ‘Keep On’ picks up the pace with crisp drum programming and future facing styles.
Elsewhere, ‘Consciousness’ strips things back to a warm, dubbier and more heady vibe that is perfect for cosy dance floors, serene cut ‘Black Gloves’ is a warm deep techno masterpiece and ‘Club Horses’ is a moodier piece but with equally majestic melodies and broken drum rhythms and swiftly pacing percussion. The timeless techno trip ends on yet another side of Olivotto’s style with ‘Dazed,’ a full flavour track with rugged synths stepping up and down the scales and ending things on a determined and positive groove.
Whether you like things laid back and relaxed, or thumping from start to finish, this is an essential album that real journeys deep into many different, equally emotive styles.

Grammy-nominated producer Nic Fanciulli joins Radio Slave’s Rekids this February with two thumping cuts entitled ‘Understand’.

Having appeared before as a remixer of Radio Slave’s seminal ‘Grindhouse’ in 2012, Saved Records founder Nic Fanciulli now finally joins the Rekids imprint for the first time with original material. Highly regarded for holding residencies in some of the biggest super clubs in the world like Ibiza’s Space and Pacha, the longstanding British DJ is also responsible for four legendary BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes. His production distinction spans to a revered Grammy nomination at the age of only 26 for Best Recording Remix as part of Buick Project, to his acclaimed debut album 'My Heart' with collaborations alongside the likes of British Rock legend Damon Albarn.

The title track opens the release with submarine-like bleeps chiming over a mysterious voice repeating “understand”, while a growling bass dives deep beneath a thundering drum groove. On the flip, ‘Where U At’ features mesmerising vocal cries that flutter between upbeat stabs and bouncy percussion that expertly bolsters a driving low end.

Fanciulli’s arrival on Rekids follows a strong 2018 for the label featuring appearances from Butch, Mark Broom, Nocow, Sebo K and SRVD (Matt Edwards & Patrick Mason).

We are delighted to present release #82 from Awen Records, a 3-track EP by Senses Of Mind, a duo of impeccable presence in the ethereal and melodic techno scene. First off is Ascend, a progressive theme that uses lead arpeggios complimented by powerful claps, snares and stabs and a breakdown with a sweet female vocal. Paradox, with a prominent bass and dark synths, uses trance progressions that make it shine.
